Breaking (Fake) News

8 schools from the PAC-12 and Big 12 have agreed in principle to leave their respective conferences early in the next decade.

The goal is to expand the number of members in the new conference to 14 schools by the time the conference begins play.

So far the only 2 schools confirmed among the "Super 8", as they are being called, are USC and Stanford.

Speculation is that the other 6 schools could include UCLA, Cal, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, or maybe Kansas.

Rumors are that Texas A&M, Missouri, and Nebraska were also approached about joining the new conference, but each politely declined, saying they were happy where they were.

Surprisingly one of the potential expansion candidates to get to 14 ncludes Hawaii, which is considered vital in the new conference's marketing plans in Japan and China.

So far the tentative name for the new conference is the "Western Super Conference" or WSC for short.
