I think this is the most interesting part:

Quote:The Council and ADC also voted to approve the head coaches' recommendation to place the two additional Conference contests in the months of November and December with strong preference for weekend dates when students are on campus.

Playing conference games early in the season is something I'd like to see more of.

The typical basketball schedule is very bizarre. I understand beginning the season with tournaments and maybe a few cupcakes, but I don't know why all the conference games have to take place at the same time. Spread the games of interest out a little bit.

Think this is way more than it is made up to be....

Until the committee starts taking 17-15 teams due to great SOS, it's tough to say that the extra SOS will make a difference..... The committee has taken in the last 25+ years 1 team at large that finished the season fewer than 4 games over .500. That was 2000 Georgia at 16-14.

What's the over/under on the number of people who will click on the thread title thinking that you meant 20 schools in the conference and not 20 conference basketball games?

In my defense, I assumed it was a proposal for the PAC 12 to go to 20 teams. :D

Might just inspire someone to start a new thread.

Guilty. I took the bait.

I was curious if it was going to be another PAC-12/Big 12 merger proposal, or some version of taking a combo of MWC, AAC teams and BYU.

Maybe take BYU, Hawaii, SDSU, UNLV, Boise St, New Mexico, Houston & SMU. Not saying that idea makes sense but I was curious what was being proposed.

So, when does the SEC make the jump to 20?

When Texas is ready to join.

It would have to be some kind package deal with Tex, TT, Ok, and OSU taking the SEC to 18. At that point , they can take anybody they want to get to 20.
