Is Trump going off the rails? - cb4029 - 04-24-2019 02:22 PM https://www.yahoo.com/news/president-trump-says-democrats-try-135330603.html Quote:President Donald Trump said Wednesday he would involve the Supreme Court if Democrats tried to impeach him over special counsel Robert Mueller's findings in the Russia investigation. But he did not explain how he might do that. Seems like someone is feeling the pressure. Do you get to keep secret service protection in jail? Should start making some shanks now. Should have read the Constitution. ![]() Unhinged. RE: Is Trump going off the rails? - Claw - 04-24-2019 02:28 PM There are two messages from Trump. 1. He is not going to resign. The Nixon gambit is useless. 2. He is going to claim executive privilege and road block all requests from the House even if that escalates to the Supreme Court. That isn't off the rails at all. It's just that his train isn't stopping where the Democrats want. What Trump obviously means is, since it’s obvious Democrats don’t really care about the truth (or even governing for that matter)—-there will be no cooperation from the WH regarding this factually decided matter. In other words, every step of the witch hunt fake investigation will be blocked in court and appealed to SC. It’s going nowhere and will be years before the House sees anything they ask for. The reality? The Dems probably won’t even control the House long enough to get any real mileage out of their “investigation”. RE: Is Trump going off the rails? - banker - 04-24-2019 02:46 PM At some point you have to say enough is enough. The man's entire Presidency has been under assault since the day he won the election. His enemies just keep moving the goalposts. For two and a half years it was collusion. Mueller found that there was no collusion, as did reports from the House, Senate, and IG. So now it's that he obstructed justice. That, on its face, is just ridiculous. He never claimed executive priveledge, didn't fire Mueller, and let the investigation run to its completion. Why would he obstruct justice when justice proved that he didn't do anything wrong? When this obstruction stuff passes the left will ove on to the next narrative and just keep beating the drum. At some point you have to make it stop. Will Trump accept the results of the election? There's a way he could win the popular vote, but their is no way he can win the electoral college. No Path to 270. who's completely off the rails and careening down the embankment? Lunatic fringe. A sight to behold. RE: Is Trump going off the rails? - Claw - 04-24-2019 02:58 PM The campaign has started. Trump got elected because he didn't back down from anyone. The Democrats in the House are doing nothing more than solidifying Trump's base. RE: Is Trump going off the rails? - swagsurfer11 - 04-24-2019 03:07 PM “Going”? 40 tweets/day is normal.
