2019 AAC FOOTBALL POWER RANKINGS - zoocrew - 04-17-2019 10:59 AM

Guy is crazy high on Memphis seems to think they have a great shot at an undefeated season. Top 4 records with their most likely losses listed. Even with Memphis/UCF they’re still given a better than 60% shot to win their likely losses. Not to mention they don’t play each other so a predicted CCG game would be a NY6 bowl play in. **** the MWC!

1. Memphis 10-2 -likely losses home vs Ole Miss, @Temple
2. UCF 10-2 -likely losses home vs Stanford, @PITT hehe
3. UC 8-4 -likely losses @OSU/USF/MEM, home vs UCF
4. Temple 8-4 -likely losses @USF/UC, home vs MEM/UCF
5. Houston 7-5
6. USF 7-5
7. SMU 6-6
8. Tulane 5-7
9. Tulsa 5-7
10. ECU 5-7
11. Navy 4-8

Memphis is loaded. Honestly top 3 should be great this year. Temple/Houston aren't that far off depending on how things go with their new staffs (love the Houston hire).

UConn's defense on the efficiency & explosiveness chart is a sight to behold.

Memphis lost all-world Henderson, 3 o-linemen, their OC, their DC, more than one position coach. Their fans were last year were complaining about lack of consistency from their qb from last year. I don't get the hype. Norvell is a pretty good coach, but I don't see how this is a high tide year in that program.

I’d be trying to put off football for as long as possible too if I was a Tulsa or UConn fan.

RE: 2019 AAC FOOTBALL POWER RANKINGS - WhalerFan - 04-17-2019 12:49 PM

UConn will win 8 games and go to a bowl game this year. You heard it here first. If I'm wrong then.......
well who cares it'll still be football.

You realize I started that thread? And posted the article?

And that you're supposedly a fan of Pittsburgh?

We lost Henderson, Pollard and 3 OL. Almost everybody else returns, we have great depth, and we signed a good class.

Brady White got hurt (foot) in the second game of the season, and never fully recovered. It kept him from scrambling, or throwing deep.

Norvell has always been the OC. We've had 4 DCs in the last 3 years.

We are favored in every game by 6 points or more, and could possibly win them all. I think 8-4 is the worst we can do.

We'll see.

After watching the spring game, I think Cincinnati is loaded. Especially at Quarterback, Runningback, and tightend. With the way Pierce played and Jackson played, I should put wide receiver on the list. Defense only returns 7 starters with first year starter Malik Vann possibly getting the Busch light defensive player of the game. If Cincinnati fixes the oline, we lose no more than three games and possibly win them all but one. I cannot see us beating Ostate in columbus.

We're fine on the OL. The weakness will be on the defensive line, specifically at defensive tackle. With virtually everyone back at linebacker and in the secondary, we'll be tough to pass on. That being said, teams might be able to move the chains by running right up our gut.

I agree, but I would have felt better if the left side blocked better. Were not even sure if the Michigan transfer will be the tackle. At any rate, we will be good. Memphis on the road and UCF will be tough games.
