Winning 1 out of 2 @ UNCG helped too.

You added North Carolina Greensboro's 24-14 record as well as Louisiana's 34-4 (*3) record to your OWP, so that boosted 50% of your score tremendously. The results of your games against them do not count against your OWP because that is taken care of in your WP, which is 25% of your score. If you compare the Team Sheets pages between this week and last week, you will see that your overall schedule strength went from #250 to #195 because of those 5 games.

Troy goes 4-1 on the ROAD... and we still fell back one spot.

3-1. And all games were against losing records. Home/road is not factored into softball rpi.

But decent RPI teams. None of them were below 150 in the RPI.

I hate that road games aren't factored into the softball RPI.

Cajuns RPI will take a resounding thump in two of the last three series of the year.

Should also have noted that the Cajuns beat Campbell today 3-0 and take on UNC-Greenboro tomorrow in our five games in five days road trip. Having the Sunday game turn into a Saturday DH against AppST probably was a benefit in the long run as it gave the ladies a day of rest.

I have to say the last inning of the last game I saw something I've never seen in another game. In the top of the 7th the Cajuns had three outs without a "put out" by a fielder or pitcher. After the Cajun had the bases loaded, the Cajuns had three base runners leaving early calls. First, the runner from third left early. The next batter walked, and then two additional runners left early. I'm sure it was done with intent by Coach Glasco with the Cajuns having a 10 run lead. I also noted that the App coach subbed starters for hitters who hadn't played in the game in the bottom of the seventh.
