I do know that the Packers hosted a pro day event that included Wisconsin, Northwestern and NIU. We are considered a local school by the NFL for the Packers. May have been tied to that. Also, the new Packers head coach and Hammock may have crossed paths together in the NFL.

Saw the "Once you go PACK, you never go back" tweet and immediately made the connection to the "Pride in the Pack" NIU reference, but then, cheeseheads. Womp, womp.
Must be pretty cool for the staff, as someone mentioned, not only Hammock but a few coaches may have connections with the Green Bay coaching staff. Also, plenty of Wisconsinites (they're not cheeseheads if they're Huskies, ha ha) on the NIU roster.
Still think NIU should use the "Once you go PACK, you never go back" every now and then.
