How about, we have a baseball stadium with a Children's Hospital in view, so why wouldn't you do it? If there are kids watching the game from the hospital, I doubt that they care who started it first. They are just happy to have everyone wave at them.

Counter-opinion, if you have a Children's Hospital within eyesight and don't do this, you're just missing obvious opportunities.
