Duane Norman - Paul Howard - 04-10-2019 06:14 PM

I am here to tell you about my friend Duane Norman. He died last Tuesday. Duane was an enthusiastic young man who loved his family, his friends, and most of all Cincinnati. I have been friends with Duane for 23 years. As sickness took over his body making death all but certain, he was buoyed mainly by his love of Cincinnati. Duane Norman loved Cincinnati and he held dear to his heart his place on message boards with his friends who loved reading his posts. I am going to miss Duane Norman, and the second to last time I talked to him, he asked me to wish you all the best.

Do you like UC sports? If so, please feel free to keep posting here. We miss Duane, and would be pleased to see you try to fill his shoes, even though such a thing is not literally possible.

You know what they say about the size of a guy's shoes.

Did you forget your password, Duane?

Damn, just when we ran out of forums to rename after our beloved deceased posters.

It's only right for us to have a forum named in memory of Duane.

He’s back again I see. What a joke

Duane was heartbroken by the realization that Cincinnati would never win the championship under the leadership of Coach Cronin, who blithely ignored the effect of his decision upon Cincinnati's fans. RIP.

Good God, I hope Duane didn't live long enough to see Coach Cronin don the blue and gold. It would have broken him, and it would have killed us to watch it all unfold.

No chance he wore shoes. He seemed like a four season white tube socks and flip flops kind of guy.

Godspeed, Duane.

Who was the guy who posted in fragment sentences and thought Jennifer was the best player on the team? Bulldog or something? He wasn’t a Cronin fan. I wish we could get his take on all this.

RE: Duane Norman - UCGrad1992 - 04-10-2019 09:59 PM

Gotta love these two first name characters. How about...

Hank Barry
Tom Terry
Ben Neal
Don Arthur
Jeff Tony
Mark Todd
Ronnie Leonard
Frank Oscar
Michael Harold
Harry Dick

What better gift to give than dedicate your future IP to the memory of one of the greatest Bearcat fans this world has known. I'm sure it's tax deductible.
