First official practice will be fall camp. https://twitter.com/NIUCoachHammock/status/1135500434460807168 RE: QB transfer from Cal - klake87 - 06-03-2019 09:39 AM (05-30-2019 08:56 PM)prairiedawg Wrote: https://twitter.com/johnJBbowers Wish he would have taken it next to the Diesel statue RE: QB transfer from Cal - randyfensfanclub1 - 06-03-2019 12:40 PM (06-03-2019 09:39 AM)klake87 Wrote:(05-30-2019 08:56 PM)prairiedawg Wrote: https://twitter.com/johnJBbowers I never noticed, looked at the the dog head on. But it looks like the dog is wearing glasses w/o arms like Morpheus. Or perhaps some sort of Angry Birds spin-off with the unibrow. As much as I thought for the negative posters on "pig dog" to get over it, it is pretty awful from all angles. Brilliant idea MileHighHuskie, a new trophy game. Only in this game, the loser has to take home the trophy. RE: QB transfer from Cal - MaddDawgz02 - 06-08-2019 10:44 AM Not knowing the mental makeup of NIU, I hope there is not a situation where you get two camps of players, a Bowers camp and a Childers camp. Despite Childers struggling at times, he was the QB at the helm of a MAC championship, so a change at that position may be a harder sell to players. Hopefully players can rise above this, and just let things play out how they are going to play out, and accept whoever the starter ends up being. If one guy is clearly better than the other there will be zero issue. If it’s dead even I could see some guys maybe preferring one to the other, but not to the point of distraction. The only thing I could imagine is the WRs being mad if the “lessor” passer was named starter. RE: QB transfer from Cal - NorthCoast - 06-11-2019 05:59 PM There's been some good #12's at QB recently. https://twitter.com/johnJBbowers/status/1138303266498859009 RE: QB transfer from Cal - klake87 - 06-13-2019 08:02 AM Any information on Bowers? Any tweets from players on how he throws? I am interested to hear how much better his arm is compared to Childers. His arm has to be better but just by how much. If it is worse that this is a ****** pick up. QB transfer from Cal - Dog Fan - 06-13-2019 10:34 AM Arm strength is one thing. But he also has to hit his receivers, especially in stride. Childers was lacking in that regard.
