They need better players or first weekend is always going to huge hurdle to get out of.
I said it was crap draw because a 28 win team that knocked off Houston should be played a team outside the to 40 of Kenpom.

not when its a mid major conference and we are talking national rep and prestige. So no, winning the AAC gets you zero. Nobody cares.

We clearly aren’t getting enough talented players with the way we recruit. It tells me we should become far more aggressive in the transfer and grad transfer market. That is probably our best bet of attracting higher end talent into the program.

Why did Mick stop recruiting Tandy? Would have been a nice combo with Curtis. Also had the lead on Torrence but wouldn't allow him to reclassify to 2019 so he went to Marquette.

I love the Cronin remark. The last 2 years we had easy draws, I call them Xavier draws. Cronin had an easy path to the Elite 8 before all the upsets and this year we had the weakest 1 seed, 2, 3, 4, and 5 seeds. Cronin needs to recruit some Midwest guys who can shoot, it would be nice to have a stretch 4 who can play on the perimeter and help out Brooks and Scott!

last season, we lost 3 players to the NBA and overseas pro teams. Guess that isn't good recruiting? we have a mr. basketball of ohio coming in that scored over 34 pts per game but that isn't good? you'd probably whine if you followed the old john wooden ucla teams because they only won 10 nc's in a row and then lost the 11th?

anybody remember the time a few years ago that we were seeded much better but lost in first round? ucla vs uc when ucla was ranked #1 for a large part of the season and then had a long losing streak in last third of the season and got seeded #10 or 11? they beat us in overtime. I think Stokes played for uc back then. Huggins was furious about the seeding. He knew UCLA was much better than that. Same with Iowa. i KNEW they were a good shooting team that had a bad stretch for whatever reason during the regular season and then regained their stroke against UC. Time will tell how the rest of the tourney works out for them but Iowa might give TENNESSEE fits.
