It’s not all that unreasonable looking at things from the outside.

Yes we all feel that way. From the outside, we lost a ton. It isn’t unreasonable to expect a decline next year.

Let’s assume the S&P is spot on. We are still ranked above 6 of our opponents:
08/29 Alabama State
09/07 - at Akron. 124
09/21 - South Alabama. 127
09/28 at Western Kentucky. 101
10/05 Rice. 126
10/12 at UTSA. 128
10/19 Old Dominion. 119
11/02 - at Tennessee. 21
11/09 at Southern Miss. 74
11/16 UTEP. 130
11/23 Louisiana Tech. 86
11/30 at North Texas. 84
Throw in a win vs. Alabama State & that’s 7 wins right there.

6 wins minimum. But to be fair, we did lose some numbers with seniors graduating. but I think we'll do fine. We may not be world breakers but I see post season if we play well. Just another reason for folks to hate CUAB. 07-coffee303-nutkickCOGS

This team will be slightly better than the 2017 team IMO if certain guys pan out like I think. First blush my over - under is 7 wins. 6 if guys don't pan out or big injuries. 8 or 9 if everything falls right. Spring will tell us more but that second fall scrimmage will be more telling. I don't see how this team doesn't win 6. Well maybe if they all catch the flue at the same time.

I think 7 is the perfect over under number. If everything pans out just right I can see us getting to 10 wins. I think more likely than not we will have some growing pains and wind up right at 7.

It will take at least 5 seasons for the FB program to stabilize in terms of incoming vs out going talent. Until that happens, we will all be just guessing with our fingers crossed each season. My guess at this point is 8 or 9 wins because of our strengths at QB, RB and defensive backfield (LBs, DBs and S).
