Game Day: WMU - emu steve - 02-23-2019 04:45 AM

We are a 10 point favorite at home vs. Western. 02-13-banana

WMU features some fmr. MI h.s. players like guard Michael Flowers and center Seth Dugan. Also guard/forward Josh Davis who I believe has been an enigma during his career and not having the career most expected (I thought he had all-MAC potential coming out of h.s. highly regarded).

EMU had better come out focused and ready to play. They cannot assume another big win. We've seen Murphy lose these types of games before. That can't happen today

I would assume the high energy 2nd half we saw Tuesday suggests the team has re-focused and JT4 came ready to play 100% then and will today.

Dear Friends,
My brother and myself will be at the game, so, I hope to see some high energy.

Why would you make that assumption? Are you seriously that much of a 'homer' or are you just really naive? The fact of the matter is that WMU absolutely sucks, so a blow out victory at home should be a given for any team with a pulse, i.e CMU, who beat them at home 85-64.

Getting away from your hot air and on to the facts.

WMU has won two of their last three. Last night, a weak sister, Ohio, beat a 'power' BG.

This is the time of the season where teams which don't show up get beaten...

Game Day: WMU - TheWoodenNickle - 02-23-2019 02:17 PM

Minnies shot if off so far.

RE: Game Day: WMU - EagleSam - 02-23-2019 02:20 PM

Silver needs to take at least 4 threes a game. He has a confident stroke, and we need our best shooters shooting more.

RE: Game Day: WMU - EagleSam - 02-23-2019 02:27 PM

Hopefully Minnie shows up soon. There’s a game going on.

RE: Game Day: WMU - FrankAnderson - 02-23-2019 02:40 PM

Lol! Can't believe Thompson's out there playing dodgeball.

RE: Game Day: WMU - TheWoodenNickle - 02-23-2019 02:41 PM

Put Minnie on the bench. He's sleepwalking.

RE: Game Day: WMU - FrankAnderson - 02-23-2019 02:45 PM

All our production coming from Thompson and Silver. Everyone else is cold.

Ugly half.

Right? So far in this game, he's airballed a 3, had a layup hit the bottom of the backboard, and let a soft pass go right through his hands out of bounds. This is a good game for Thompson and Toure to play together, so let Minnie sit for a while.

RE: Game Day: WMU - emu steve - 02-23-2019 02:48 PM

Ball State has a double digit lead on Central.

You guys are being a bit harsh. He is having a rough game, but had a huge steal when WMU was holding possession for the end of the half. Allowed EMU to bring the game within 1. Huge play by Minnie.

RE: Game Day: WMU - emu steve - 02-23-2019 02:58 PM

Putting on my 'homer' face, one good thing is Silver. With Silver the rotation is now one player deeper.

As others have indicated, too bad Nobles isn't around. We could use one more experienced player up front.

RE: Game Day: WMU - TheWoodenNickle - 02-23-2019 03:09 PM

Getting out-played at home by a lesser team. Not surprised.

Not sure I would say being out-played. The difference in the score are all of our missed FTs.

I would call the game even. We are playing stronger but they are hitting the trey and we are having trouble with anything beyond 5 or10 feet, including FTs, treys, etc.

RE: Game Day: WMU - emu steve - 02-23-2019 03:31 PM

EMU takes the lead!!!

RE: Game Day: WMU - TheWoodenNickle - 02-23-2019 03:37 PM

It would be a good time to put Toure on the bench. His FT shooting is a liability.
