Biden "Almost Certain" to be running in 2020 - TigersOhMy - 02-15-2019 10:31 AM

Most assumed this to be the case, but looks like he is probably in.

That should round out the field....

It will be fun to watch that field eat itself like the Rep's did 3 years ago..... Each one will try to out-left the next one. It's going to be hard to backtrack a lot of their promises and positions once they thin the herd.

Biden is the only one who can legitimately give Trump a run IMO.... he needs to stay above the fray until it gets whittled down to 2 or 3 opponents.

From that article it sounds like he's the most likely to remain "center" (whatever that means in todays democratic party)

Quote:In January, Biden seemed to try to distinguish himself from a largely liberal field of Democratic 2020 candidates by joking “that one of my problems is, if I ever run for president, I like Republicans.”

“Where I come from, I don’t know how you get anything done until we start talking to one another again,” Biden said.

Sounds like he won't get past the Iowa caucuses.

Is Eric Holder going to run? I bet he could get a lot of the same voter base that Obama had. I saw him on a list of "potential candidates".

The person with the most foreign policy experience will win the nomination.

I would never have thought that I would want Joe Biden to win any election. But of those in the field so far, he would appear to be the least dangerous.

Well that may pretty much suck for the left then....

by the time the polls open for the actual election, much of what Trump is trying to straighten out will be straight.... and the Dems will be in trouble.

I agree 100%. He seems to be the only non-communist in the bunch. Khrushev was right when he said, "we will bury you" unfortunately it is us that is burying ourselves.

won't Trump be like 75 in 2020?

If Biden does run I believe he won't last the primaries. He's too nice and has a voice similar to someone narrating a boring audio book. He's an older version of Jeb Bush as a DEM. Now, in the presidential candidates race, Biden would probably do better because to get elected you have to come more to the middle. The DEM primaries will be anything but...I'll wager some of the liberal rhetoric will make Bernie Sanders look tame.
