It's a relatively short term problem. If they get probation and loss of scholarships they will have served their term before realignment kicks off again. Kansas will always carry value as a basketball product. If they are wanted by a major P5 conference by 2023 I don't think this keeps them out.

Agreed - these scandals have zero impact on conference realignment value. Penn State, Ohio State, UNC and USC all had major scandals and infractions over the past decade... and they’d be all picked up for conference realignment purposes within nanoseconds.
