Just looking at the roster, EMU seems to have solid depth and talent at every position except DE and LB. Any word on the younger kids in those positions like Brooks at DE and Brown at LB? A grad transfer or JUCO recruit at these positions would be nice.

Agreed, we need a ton of help there and quick. Those Re two injury prone positions and we are lacking depth there. I'm surprised we have not been able to fill these two spots with JUCOs immediately. we need Jucos in these spots as we need immediate contributors.

I find the 247Scouts.com EMU's 'Prospects' list a good source. Where the list is light, I think, is on JUCOs. As posters indicate, we need immediate help at LB and DE and JUCO is the way to go for immediate help.

My internal count has us very close to the 85 not counting any transfers out after the Winter semester. I wouldn't expect more than 1 or 2 players in the February 2020 signing day group.

That's my guess.
I am surprised that he did not sign in December as he supposedly is a Dec JUCO grad.
All I can think is there might have been numbers issues, perhaps related to one or more scholarship players not coming back.
E.g., DeAnthony Ball and Tyler Shaw are in the transfer portal. I don't remember if Shaw is a scholarship player.
I don't know if C.C. is holding onto the Ball (and Shaw) scholarships until 2nd semester begins and they have left school. E.g., Ball if he changes his mind and wants to come back and C.C. wants him back, he (Ball) should be able to withdraw his name from the portal before school resumes.
I assume any player who puts his name in the transfer portal and leaves school (between semesters) has 'crossed the Rubicon'.

Very nice, very complimentary article.
Couple of things which need to be added:
1). I believe he camped at EMU in mid/late June. He was offered and accepted so he doesn't have the laundry list of other offers.
2). He had a very good senior year. I assume that if he had been uncommitted he would have gotten a lot of positive recruiting attention.
These also explain why some recruits are better prospects than a simple review of 247sports recruiting info would indicate. They are kind of like the guy who finds a high school sweetheart and marries her (doesn't have a long list of fmr GFs).

IF he goes JUCO, he can play next season and then transfer and have 3 (years) to play 3. His 5 year would be: D-I sitout, JUCO play, then 3 years of D-I ball.
