Monday 1/21 basketball games - usm99 - 01-21-2019 02:08 PM
Just curious as to how CUSA ended up with 2 conference games today
ODU at Charlotte at 3:00 pm (central time)
Marshall at WKU at 8:00 pm (central time)
I get the early start for ODU/Charlotte with it being MLK day but seems a tad unfair for those 4 schools playing 3 CUSA in 5 days. Yes i realize it's done for the tournament but for regular season??

life isn't fair...play the games you have to play and win...the rest is the same for all 4 teams for this game

And as just about everyone knows USM and La Tech are probably the 2 hardest places to get to in CUSA as far as flights are concerned.

So what genius thrust these kids into this kind of scheduling. Sounds kinda unnecessary. However, I can see some marketing dude saying "Why not schedule a game on MLK Day? We can be among the few CBB games and draw some attention."

I don’t understand how a team can have an easier schedule than an another if we all play a round robin schedule.

We have the easiest schedule in CUSA too. We don't have to play the best team in the league.

I know WKU and I’m assuming Marshall is playing 5 games in 10 days
WKU’s schedule is wack this year
Played 7 of the first 9 games on the road
Still only played 7 home games
Played West Virginia/Wisconsin/saint Marys/Arkansas
Started conference play with 3 games on the road with two being against top tier teams
That’s a brutal schedule for a freshman heavy team, our guys have not a schedule designed to build chemistry, it’s been more of a throw them into the fire and learn on the job.....I think our guys are starting to figure things out though

Apparently so. This 2nd half might be the worst we have played all year and we have had many bad halves. 22 point swing in 9:45.
