Former TXST ILB - Stephen Smith (2012-1016), who graduated Dec 2016, has died in a fatal car crash.

Hate to hear that. We've had several former players' deaths recently, more than any of us would like. It's never easy, and it almost always seems to be guys that were exceptional men as well as players.

He called me Sunday afternoon with the news and it crushed my wife and I. We are heading to Texas for the funeral. This is a crushing blow to his family and friends along with the Texas St. Family.
