Yes...did UVA have better players. Yes but as a team they got their assess handed to them because they could not match up with UMBC.

Even Coach Bennett after they lost said UMBC was a better team and they had match up issues. FAU hit shots we did not. they got many open looks we did not. Lets hope we are better than FIU. Right now it is not looking like it.

Lol, what is Bennet supposed to say? So UMBC should have been ranked in the top 5?
Has nothing to do with any mentality. Has to do with logic. UVA could have played them 100 times and won 99.

Not without Hunter. UMBC goards and forwards were faster and made shots. UVA thought they had better talent and refused to play zone and UMBC went by them and broke them down defensively. Too many mis-matches.

Odu is always the better team, it’s just bad matchups that cost us to lose, duh, everyone knows that. We’re the best team in college basketball history, it’s just these damn matchups, without those, wed be undefeated every year!

It was actually extremely easy to see that FAU was not a very good team. We didn't show up for the Florida trip.

Right...we could not guard their PG or SG. They made shots. Their SF/PF ate us up making shot after shot. They got some production from their post. But hey we are a better team and have better players.

FIU is not a good team; FAU is decent; albeit inconsistent.
FAU has 2 top 100 wins (UCF on the road and ODU at home). They also beat Illinois (107) on the road.
They have 2 really bad loses with Bethune Cookman and Charlotte.

Here's the way I see it. If a neutral observer watched that game, who would have appeared to be the better team on that night? FAU was clearly the better team,on that night. Does it make them a "good" team? Who knows and who cares. Does it make ODU a bad team? who knows and who cares. On that night, FAU was clearly better than ODU.

From what I saw, FAU just had one of those nights. They hit just about everything they threw at the basket. I find it hard to believe they do that on any kind of consistent basis. Sometimes, it happens.

Eh...I still think we have some better results than squads like Vermont, Utah State, Liberty etc. Also of course have a few bad losses.
Head to head I think we beat a lot of those teams from 10 down.

No doubt - and it will be considered a bad loss all season. Still think we are better than those squads mentioned.
Those few stinker losses (OSU, UNI, FAU) are unfortunate on what could have been a decent resume.
