Just as everyone suspected...The CFP committee is corrupt. - KNIGHTTIME - 12-30-2018 09:59 AM

You have AD's on the committee having email exchanges promoting other conference members. No that isn't biased. Corruption

Corrupt money grab in college sports. Who'd a thunk it?

Just follow the money trail, when you reach the end of it you will more than likely find corruption. Also there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that UCF would have given Clemson more of a challenge then ND (which was basically the ACC Championship game on a grander stage). I also think that Georgia and UCF would have beaten ND (at least Georgia was given every opportunity to make the CFP) UCF was not.

That is a very interesting video interview with attorney Dan Ravicher. The Preferred 5 cartel issue needs to finally get settled and it simply will not happen without legal action.

They just need to end the whole committee and use computers. Take the top 8 and be done with it.

Why are you crying to us? Aren't you one of the anointed conferences? Go back to your board and make fun of Southern Miss getting left out of your little traitors party.

RE: Just as everyone suspected...The CFP committee is corrupt. - MTPiKapp - 12-30-2018 01:29 PM

The CFP is corrupt.

UCF was not one of the best four teams in college football this year or last year.

Both statements are true and have nothing to do with one another.

I'd trade southern miss for a couple of teams already in the AAC. I didn't say that out loud.

Notre Dame certainly is not and yet they got the slot this season.

The issue should be settled on the field. Allow the best “G-5” school (perhaps a CUSA member next year) to compete in an expanded 8 team playoff.

Sorry but your team would have been throttled by 50+ by Alabama or Clemson, your defense is horrid. You just outscore everyone on offense. Now go back to your itty bitty space on here and cry to UConn, ECU and Tulsa fans. You know the 3 programs that combined for 7 wins this season. Or cry to those who did go bowling and absolutely got the slobber knocked out of them. I guess Tulane is the king of the AACk right now.

I don't disagree with either point, I'm simply stating that UCF didn't belong in this 4 team playoff and no amount of corruption or Notre Dame faceplanting changes that; I am fully on board with the 8 team format with a conditional spot for the best G5.

LOL. What a joke. THIS is the best "evidence"? The "smoking gun"? Geez. Nothing to see here. Get over it, UCF. Hope you lose by 30+ to LSU. Nice winning streak, no doubt. But you play NO-ONE that merits your team coming close to even sniffing the College Playoff. Schedule and beat legit teams then perhaps you have a case. Consecutive losing seasons are a HC away from your program.

RE: Just as everyone suspected...The CFP committee is corrupt. - rileylives - 12-30-2018 04:35 PM

Should any of us be surprised?

The concerning thing for UCF I believe is this is probably their last shot. Two consecutive undefeated seasons is very rare. This isn't going to happen again.

I just don't think any of us... from the Mountain West, to the American, to CUSA, the Sunbelt or the Mac have any chance whatsoever of breaking into this so-called playoff.

This is what ESPN wants. It's their creation.

Nothing is going to happen until presidents from CUSA, American, Mountain West and so forth sue the NCAA.

THIS! This is not just about UCF's worthiness, it is about fixing a truly corrupt system that is driving fans away from the sport by the millions.

The entire G5 needs to get organized and cooperate just as the cartel did!

First, I know you're wrong about last year.

Secondly.....after the very poor performances we saw yesterday from OU and Notre Dame, I'm no longer so sure about 2018 either.

RE: Just as everyone suspected...The CFP committee is corrupt. - Cristobal - 12-30-2018 06:07 PM

UCF has taken its' program to the next level and doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. Bama and Clemson are cream of the crop, but not invincible. Huge dropoff after that, other than maybe Georgia. And who knows? With an expanded playoff, a few key injuries, turnovers, fatigue, loss of personnel, coaching changes and dissension, among other things, there could be a perfect storm for any team that is well prepared and cresting at just the right time. UCF is in the mix and capable of taking advantage of whatever it is given.

LSU is a tough draw. I hope UCF pulls it off.

I agree. Bama and Clemson both seem to be light years ahead of everyone else. As yesterday's results proved, there's obviously a huge drop off after those two. No....I'm not happy about it....but it's the damn truth.

clt is pulling for USF against LSU.

RE: Just as everyone suspected...The CFP committee is corrupt. - MUther - 12-30-2018 07:31 PM

First step is put Notre Dame in a conference (all the way in) or make them ineligible. They are not so special anymore that they get a pass. No NCAA tournament and no playoffs unless in a conference. They already forced their hand in basketball. It's time to make football follow suit.
