So very sad..per NS, Courtney Woods tore her ACL and will be out for the year. Absolute huge loss. Don't know if she could have , or would want, a redshirt year.

Yikes, those are a tough and long recovery. Good luck to her on that journey.
Why does it seem like this women's program is riddled with season-ending injuries every year? Seems like they've had this issue the previous two years too.

Practices too hard? Training staff not very good?

Don't try to read too much into it. Statically women are much more susceptible to knee injuries. You see it in basketball and soccer especially. Huge loss for the program. Now will be lucky to even get to NIT and nowhere close to winning the MAC. Sad.

Womens bodies exaggerate the stress on knees and I have seen or heard of many knee injuries happening without any contact.

Poisson also. That’s 4 maybe 5 ACL’a in the last year. Along with other numerous players with injuries that have not progressed back.
This is a trend not happenstance.

Watched this game and what a job by Voight and the entire squad. Talk about being red hot. She got some wide open looks. Excellent ball movement and seeing her open by her teammates. 1 3 pointer away from tying the NCAA record.
Hopefully this team has rallied around the injuries and can figure out a way to get some W’s going forward.
