Yeah, but leaving UC for Maryland is an odd career move. Sounds like change for the sake of change.

Particularly when this staff is clearly on the way up in the coaching world. If he had stayed here for two more years he'd probably be invited along to wherever Fickell goes next. Wherever that is, it's clearly better than Maryland.

Don't disagree. Wonder if there is more to the story, such as his personal life as someone addressed above (looking for a change of scenery) or maybe he is BFF's with their HC Mike Locksley.

Speaking of Maryland, what is the deal with Butch Jones? I thought he was going there as an Associate HC. Doesn't appear to have happened.

Saw a story in the past week or so syaing he was staying at Alabama. Not sure in what capacity though.

Might be going a interior line coach and ends coach?

With the additional staff member for the 2018 season, did we ever add anyone or is this hire that spot?

That's disappointing. He's been great in his stints at UC.

I didn't even realize that Blue Adams was at USF, but now he is the new DB coach for Oregon St.

Blue Adams

He did a great job at WVU. Would love to see Blue come home again. Doubt it'll happen, but still...

According to Footballscoop.com - Looks like we are getting our WR coach. Slight letdown from a former SEC HC.

Cincinnati: Per source, former Liberty running backs coach Mike Brown is now the receivers coach at Cincinnati. Brown’s coaching career started at Michigan as an offensive analyst in 2016 before he took a quality control job at Delaware in 2017 prior to joining the Liberty staff.

The WR coach doesn’t have to be a football genius. Usually it is a position where young coaches cut their chops. Recruiting is a priority. Brown is a young guy who was an All-American in college and played in the NFL. He’ll do well in that category IMHO.

I've heard a lot of good things about this up and comer and sounds like he should be a great fit.

Bottom line is I trust Fickell and his coaching staff. I'm looking forward to the 2019 season.
