Hopefully schools are looking at Fickell and saying "his record is only 14-10".

How real are Urbans medical issues? Sounds like this year may be it.

I could be wrong, but I don't think OSU would hire Fickell as the head coach just yet. They will want someone with a longer track record.

Last couple games, it's looked like he's ready to keel over. Supposedly he has a cyst that can't be drained because of where it's located in relation to his brain. He has been going through treatment, but when he gets angry/animated it flares up and he ends up with bad headaches. When you couple that with him fighting with the administration over his suspension, I wouldn't be shocked if he calls it quits after this season.

I too highly doubt he'll be a true candidate for the role if Urban leaves after this season - which i doubt happens in the first place.

Great season, however as good as it has been we haven't beaten anyone of note...yet. Our best win was over.....a reeling 7-5 USF team? Maybe, Ohio? No shade to the staff, they won the games they should have, and that's the start of something of substance, however I just don't see this season being the one that springboards CLF to tOSU. Not yet, at least.

Next season presents a step up in degree of difficulty. I'm sure there will be plenty of ADs watching....

Illinois extended Lovie Smith another two years.

USC announcing they are keeping Clay Helton.

Rutgers keeping Chris Ash.

I think the buyouts are serious impediments for some of these programs. Kudos to them for being fiscally responsible.

Who are we actually worried about this offseason? Just MSU and...maybe Purdue?

Brohm is being way too outward in doubling down on Purdue at the moment...I'll actually be surprised if he leaves at this point.

Of all the jobs I am kind of worried about, most look pretty safe unless something crazy changes. I actually think it would be better if Urban leaves this year instead of next year...one more year of this from Fickell might help wash the remaining 6-7 funk off of him in the OSU admin eyes.

Isn't that Day guy the heir apparent at OSU?

Yes, IMO. There is no offense this side of Oklahoma like Ohio State's. Plus, Day kept the ship afloat during Meyer's suspension. I'm certainly not privy to any inside information but CLF is forever associated with Jim Tressel and many fans that I know still can't get the 6-7 record out of their system or find a comfort level with Fick. And that is just fine by me.

Yeah, I don't think OSU is even close to being interested in Fick right now, but you never know what another 10-12 win season would do for him...

We'll see what OSU fans say about CLF after September 7, 2019. We return a pretty talented team, and I think we might be able to pull off the win in Columbus.

Do you remember our last trip to Columbus and how we got completely screwed. Chris Moore ruled until he was not allowed. That game was a disgrace to those who claim any possibility of fair judging. Just like Roberts shows he is a fool to claim there are no Obama judges.

We will have to win by 20 to prevail, just like Congressional elections.

Fairness in 2018 America is a complete delusion.

We will get hosed - unless we win by 20.
