2018 Pick'em Contest, Week 13 - ken d - 11-16-2018 08:56 AM
With next week being Thanksgiving when many of us may be traveling (or hosting) it seems prudent to get out the slate for Week 13 a little early. Most of the games were pretty obvious.

I can't remember. Was there a stated tie-breaker for total number of correct picks (if applicable) before the season started?

In the event of a tie in number of correct picks, the winner will be the player with the most rep points accumulated during the season.

Due to the postponement of the Cal-Stanford game this week, we will be adding another game to the Week 13 schedule.
I'm going with Houston @ Memphis which should decide the AAC West champion. The start time of that game hasn't been decided yet.

Pitt @ Miami They are more disciplined.
Auburn @ Alabama I want to be wrong, but have no evidence to indicate it.
Kentucky @ Louisville The Cats are stable but Louisville isn't.
South Carolina @ Clemson Cocky gives them a game for a half then depth takes over.
Utah State @ Boise State Nobody plays well on blue fake turf but Boise.
Notre Dame @ Southern Cal USC stinks. Notre Dame doesn't.

A few Pick'em stats I found interesting.
Of all the games picked so far, collectively we have been right 63% of the time, for an average of 9.5 correct picks per week. Our leader, Bucky, has been right 70% of the time (10.6 per week).
The easiest week by far was Week 5, where we picked 77% of the games correctly. I'm thinking I may have overreacted to that, as Week 6 was our worst week (only 54% correct). That week only 11 of 23 players managed to be above 50% correct.
Week 6 had a major impact on the season race, with CollegeCard giving up 5 games to Bucky and Wilkie. Without that, he would be in first place today. But what that does show is that even at four games off the pace, CollegeCard could still make up that much ground in this final week. The Fat Lady hasn't sung yet.
