Clark started 3-4 from the 3 pt line I believe and missed his last 3 attempts. A couple were rushed shots to try and beat the shot clock. Played a good game overall with quite a few rebounds and some nice defense. I think the Rockets are 6-2 since they started giving Clark serious minutes. Still weird to see him hanging outside the 3 point line on offense all game.
The announcers spent like 2 minutes talking about Clark and how he is the heart and soul of the Rockets defense. Also talked about Mick and the Bearcats defense and how much that has helped him be ready for the NBA and how his defense was already NBA ready. Mick needs to get audio of that for recruits. Outside of the elite coaches, you rarely hear the NBA guys talk about college coaches and how well they prepared a kid for he NBA.

Clark = 2018 Trevor Ariza for the Rockets.
Clark panning out is making the Rockets' GM look like a genius. He let Ariza walk, picked up a cheap (maybe/ sorta) replacement in Melo, and picked up Clark as a long shot true replacement.
With Harden, CP, and Capela all D'antoni needs is a capable 3 & D guy. That's what Ariza was last year, and that's what Clark is becoming this year. His future is suddenly extremely bright! Can't say i saw this coming at all.

I felt Gary Clark was a special player the first time he stepped on the court for UC. He just kept getting better and had a fine career. From all I've heard, he's a good guy too. So here's hoping he gets that well earned contract and makes us proud in the NBA.

Day 45 is around December 17th. Rockets over salary cap so there is no incentive to sign Gary long term, except for goodwill, until they can find trade partner for Melo.

UC has had two recent guys make a good chunk of money (and counting) as undrafted guys. That's really hard to do. Although Gary should have been drafted, glad it's working out for him now.
