Is the crowd a factor in Dallas? The road adds a different dynamic and I'm wondering if the officials are now conditioned to look for opportunities to penalize our defense? This one is closer than we'd like but a win none the less... G. Collins has been scheming against some of the most talented offenses in the game during his stint at a couple SEC schools. We're not going to face that type of challenge at SMU. I think we win comfortably. mc RE: Predict the UC v SMU score - BearcatJerry - 10-24-2018 02:14 PM (10-24-2018 08:41 AM)OKIcat Wrote: I'm not as bullish on our offense after the second half at Temple, but I can't imagine SMU is quite as good defensively as the Owls. Probably a few less Bearcat fans in the house (just because of distance) but Temple, Tulane, Tulsa, USF, and SMU all draw flies. RE: Predict the UC v SMU score - BearcatJerry - 10-24-2018 02:17 PM I'm still sick about last week. Conventional Wisdom says that the loss to Temple might be a "wake up call." But conventional wisdom would have also said that the "Bye Week" was good to improve weaknesses and heal-up some minor injuries. I called this as a "win" before the season, so I'll stick with that prediction, but I'm worried. UC- 28 SMoo-24 Nothing would surprise me at this point. But not as bad as losing 49-20 to Purdue! Bearcat football has 611 wins overall - tied with Kentucky and Arizona at 49th! Purdue jumped ahead last week to 612 wins. Bearcats are favored by 8 points to Smu and the Wildcats, Wildcats, and Boilers are all favored to lose! BTW, Temple's QB Russo said that the tying TD pass was set up by a pick, which is still kind of illegal. The officiating was so bad I thought the Bearcats were playing a Big-Ten team. |
