Rising Democrat Superstar Beto Speaks to 1,000 At Fort Worth Rally - usmbacker - 10-22-2018 04:47 PM Hillary type numbers. Quote:Beto Burnout might be setting in. But not on stage. Keep reading here.... RE: Rising Democrat Superstar Beto Speaks to 1,000 At Fort Worth Rally - Fort Bend Owl - 10-22-2018 05:10 PM Beto is working his ass off traveling around the state. 1000 people here, 1000 people there, it quickly adds up. There were 1500 people in Sugar Land last night to hear him speak. Today he went to eight different Harris County polling spots to drum up support as people voted early. I also saw a video with him in The Woodlands and it sure looked like a ton of people there - I thought that was today but unless it was the Spring site on this list, I'm not sure whether it was included or not. BTW if you know Houston traffic, I don't even know how you can make some of these locations as quickly as this schedule indicates. Monday, at 7:00 AM CT Metropolitan Multi-Service Center 1475 W. Gray Street, Houston, TX 77019 Monday, at 8:15 AM CT South County Community Center 2235 Lake Robbins Drive, Spring, TX 77380 Monday, at 9:30 AM CT Northeast Multi-Service Center 9720 Spaulding St., Houston, TX 77016 Monday, at 10:30 AM CT John Phelps Courthouse 101 S. Richey Street, Pasadena, TX 77506 Monday, at 11:45 AM CT Houston Community College | Southeast College Garage 6901 Rustic St., Houston, TX 77087 Monday, at 1:45 PM CT Trini Mendenhall Community Center 1414 Wirt Road, Houston, TX 77055 Monday, at 2:45 PM CT Missouri City Community Center 1522 Missouri City Drive, Missouri City, TX 77489 Monday, at 4:15 PM CT Fort Bend County Rosenberg Annex 4520 Reading Road, Rosenberg, TX 77471 The difference in energy and stamina between him and Hillary is not in question at the least. I still think they're missing the boat by not scheduling a massing rally/concert of their own but perhaps they will still do that just before Nov. 6th? RE: Rising Democrat Superstar Beto Speaks to 1,000 At Fort Worth Rally - Fort Bend Owl - 10-22-2018 05:25 PM BTW, according to the 5 pm Tarrant County voting board (or whatever group monitors their early voting), they have had 38,430 ballots cast already out of their 704 precincts and 1.1 million registered voters. In other words, 3.38 percent of all voters have already voted as of 5 pm. Those are presidential election type numbers, not midterm numbers. Now Tarrant County isn't blue I realize (in 2016 it went for Trump 52 percent to 43 percent roughly, with slighly higher early voting percentages than that for Republicans). The total early voting in 2016 was 472K. But do you really think that Cruz will get a higher percentage of votes than Trump in Tarrant County? I think higher early voting in the bigger counties favors O'Rourke. Either way, making fun of a crowd count for O'Rourke in Tarrant County when the voter turnout is strong is a losing proposition. https://twitter.com/ToddWFAA8/status/1054494598628868096 RE: Rising Democrat Superstar Beto Speaks to 1,000 At Fort Worth Rally - Fort Bend Owl - 10-22-2018 05:29 PM Here's a Dallas County update. As of 4:30 pm, 42,241 people have voted. In 2010, 14,820 people voted the entire first day. In 2014, 13,036 people voted the entire first day. Wow, those are crazy numbers. Trump lost Dallas County in 2016 by 25 points. In 2016, the early voting first day total was 56K. RE: Rising Democrat Superstar Beto Speaks to 1,000 At Fort Worth Rally - Owl 69/70/75 - 10-22-2018 05:39 PM I will be voting for Ted Cruz and praying to God that Beto does not win, or even come close. We don't need socialists/communists/collectivists/redistributionists representing Texas. Those are not our values. Otherwise I will pretty much vote libertarian. RE: Rising Democrat Superstar Beto Speaks to 1,000 At Fort Worth Rally - Fort Bend Owl - 10-22-2018 05:53 PM There are thousands of people downtown. Trump is popular with his core group. I doubt many of those people care much one way or the other about Cruz. They may not like O'Rourke, but they don't care for Cruz either. But Owl69/70/75, what do you think about those early voting numbers? I'll try to find some Harris County numbers. I'm hearing a lot of young voters and minorities are coming out in force. I still don't think Cruz loses, but I bet you the final margin is within 5 points. It's also more than there were in 2012 (47K). I can't find the 2016 total for early voting yet. If not, what's the point of giving us all the early voting numbers? I don't think anyone here has said the dims would not be energized to vote this midterm. The country's never been more divided, one half loves what this president is accomplishing, the other hates him and what he's doing and has no ideas on how to advance the country. Sounds like a fun election to me. What's the point of posting this thread to begin with? If you're annoyed by my posts, I suggest you tell usmbacker to lay off the Beto has no support posts because we both know that's not the case. He could have easily added his post to the existing thread on the Trump rally tonight. Virtually every Texan either is employed by an oil company or has a close friend or family member employed in the energy "bidness". No openly anti oil candidate is going to win a statewide office in Texas. Its like running as an anti-gay candidate in San Francisco. When they count the votes---it wont even be close. |
