Texas Tech vs TCU - P5PACSEC - 10-11-2018 10:13 PM

Great game where Tech fans outnumbered TCU fans in Ft. Worth.

Texas Tech has a defense and completely shut fatterson down.

Guns up to Red Raider Nation.

Edit: I hope the pundits realize Tech offers the entire Metroplex and we proved that tonight in Ft. Worth.

Your defense did indeed show up. It was impressive. It would have been a perfect defense performance if the middle linebacker would learn to jump that 10 yard middle slant.

Kliff Kingsbury is a smart coach. He added some quality staff as well. Good to know he is turning matters around after a few bumpy years.

Tech played a great game last night

TCU needs to get out of this funk and back to its usual self of winning conference championships and major bowl games. I’m sure one day soon the whole SEC will also enjoy actually coming to Dallas-Fort Worth and that DFW will enjoy all that outside money coming into the local economy at restaurants, bars, hotels and tourist attractions!

RE: Texas Tech vs TCU - P5PACSEC - 10-12-2018 09:03 PM

TCU fans can't fill their stadium and need the help of Big 12/SEC fans to help them out.

Sounds like a perfectly logical reason to help a small private school that is 1 HC from leaving until they become a doormat again.

Outside of Dealey Plaza, I'm not sure what DFW offers as a tourist attraction to football fans in the fall? Six Flags? the Fair?

I live in the metromess of the evil empire of Austin and would love to move back to the northern suburbs of Ft. Worth but I will never consider DFW a tourist destination. If DFW is a tourist destination, Houston has a lot more to offer and I consider that place a cesspool.

It’s like any bowl game weekend. You come primarily for the game but you also take in the sights and do different things. No, DFW isn’t like SA and dependent on tourism but acting like there’s nothing to do or see in America’s 4th biggest metro area is just plain wrong

Yes, there’s 6 Flags and the State Fair which are both great but there’s a ton of other things.

Heck just Fort Worth alone has Sun Dance Square, The Fort Worth Zoo (consistently ranked atop 10 in the nation) the FW Stockyards, Billy Bob’s, The Water Gardens, Rahr Brewery, The Kimbell, The Will Rogers Center, Casa Manana, Whiskey Ranch etc and that’s not mentioning the hundreds of great restaurants and bars.

I have a feeling TCU might be better off in the AAC with UH/SMU and possibly Baylor

You do remember that UH stomped your team right? Much like Iowa State did today

Tech beat UH this season. They are 8-1 over the last 9 games vs UH.

ISU did not stomp Tech. The score was tied late in the 4th when ISU got a safety and a Pick 6.

Congrats to Miss St and Kansas.

When was the last time that all 3 top Texas state schools lost on the same day? When was the last time that Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Baylor and T.C.U. all lost on the same weekend?

Kudos to OSU and West Virginia as well as Miss State and Kansas and Iowa State!

This season is over for TCU and it sucks but these things happen. However the Frogs won the Big 12 before so at least our highs can match our lows! Why even Baylor has won it too!

We got a bunch of bad calls from the refs but I give all the credit to the ISU HC, Frosh QB and the Cyclone defense. That defense made our true freshman QB look like a freshman yesterday. Oh well gotta get ready for OU and UT in consecutive weeks.

If ISU is able to keep their HC and that freshman QB keeps getting better, ISU will be a conference contender next season. Hell if things go right they might contend this season.

Right now, OU, UT and WVU are tied for 1st with ISU and Tech tied for 2nd.

War Eagle next weekend.

I wish Tech well the rest of the season as I do all non-rival teams

What’s with the hostility towards TCU? Seems a bit ridiculous. This thread isn’t necessary if the intent is simply to trash another school.
