Both teams score about 50 points and give up about 20.
Both teams gain about 550 yards and give up about 300.
I think the difference is that lately UCF has been holding teams below their averages while teams play memphis have been going over their averages.
Overall, I think UCF is slightly better this year over last and Memphis has regressed a little (to be expected with a new QB). That's why I see UCF winning this game 8 times out of 10.

I feel pretty good about our defense after watching them shut down Pitt, and then watching them destroy Syracuse's defense a week later. They then went on and shut down SMU.
I'm sure Memphis will get their points but they'd need 40-45 points to have a shot in this game given how our offense should score. I just don't see that happening.
Shannon has our defense really rolling and they're night and day better than last year at this point.

Does anybody know if the game is on ABC in Houston? I try bringing it up on ESPiN and it is not clear. I can't believe a UW-Oregon game would draw any better audience in Houston.

If you're traveling to Memphis bring long sleeves and pants. Looks like Fall temperatures are officially setting in. The high forecast for Saturday is 70 degrees with a low forecast of 55-60 degrees. Only 20% rain forecast, mostly cloudy. So most likely 65-70 degrees during the game. If it happens to be sunny, then peel off the long sleeves, the sun will choke you out on the Visitor side. If you're staying afterwards it will be in the upper 50s after the game for the evening.

it does have a 'UCF Against the World' feel when journalists in our own conference hate and mock UCF for being different and not just sitting quietly like Boise State in the past.

That blows. You would think that having an AAC team in Houston would bring in more viewers. I know that UT is on ESPiN the same time, but a PAC game? Disappointing.
