Dept of Justice is investigating the Dodgers on potential human trafficking ring.

What you likely already know: Cuban players get residences established in other countries in order to be eligible to be signed by an MLB team.

What you may not have known: These players are often kidnapped and taken to other countries. Some notables include Leonys Martin and Yasiel Puig. The kidnappers then demand a portion of the players salaries.

What they are investigating: Dodgers may have been involved in the local kidnapping of players. Dodgers even have spreadsheet documenting how corrupt their own employees were. RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) may be used on this. RICO was designed to go after mob bosses even if they were not the ones to commit actual crimes. This could effect current and former Dodgers front office executives. Gabe Kapler, who ran the Dodgers’ player development system from 2014 through 2016, could be involved.

MLB had not yet been contacted on the investigation, possible the investigation could include MLB entirely, not just the Dodgers.

International Draft is the only solution.

Puig escaped Cuba through "smugglers" who are in organized crime and they have been blackmailing/extorting money from him ever since.

How long have they been dodging this?

So would MLB void all of the trafficked players’ contracts and declare them free agents?

How many other teams are doing this, and just haven’t been caught?
