I was proud of Zach. It's great seeing him doing well. Now, I can't wait until he says "Old Dominion" on national TV when the Colts get a primetime game!

RE: Zach Pascal - MonGNARch - 10-01-2018 07:58 AM

Also, while watching the Colts game, I heard a name that surprised me... I had no idea that Mo Alie-Cox made an NFL roster. I only heard his name because he committed a penalty lol... But still cool to see, even if he did come from VCU

RE: Zach Pascal - cmett003 - 10-01-2018 08:10 AM

6 catches for 56 yds and 1 TD

RE: Zach Pascal - ODU_NYG - 10-01-2018 08:28 AM

When I first turned on the RedZone yesterday, that play happened almost immediately. It was great. Good for him.

Is Mo on special teams?

He's a TE. Not sure if he played special teams but he got some offensive reps, as well as a nice 17 yard pass completion. He played in OT as well

Wow. That reminds me of that big from the GMU final four team. (Yeah that was 12 years ago, and I forgot). He was also given a try out for TE.

Unfortunately it didn't work out for out basketball player-turned TE Richard Ross. Can you imagine if he had a shot at playing both sports while at ODU? Would the basketball team have allowed that? I know there are 2-sport athletes all across college sports but I don't know if ODU has had that

I don't remember his name, but he was on the Giants roster during training camp that one season. He wanted to be a TE, but the coaches thought he'd be a better offensive lineman. He was cut at some point after that I think.

It would be tough to do. Its not even 1/2 way through the FB season and basketball practice just started. I think the FB-baseball dual sport athletes can pull it off much easier.

George Fant played both sports at Western KY.

Don't forget Julius Peppers and Ronald Curry.

ODU has a nice history of football players playing basketball. Kenny Gattison, Drew Williamson, Frank Smith, come to mind. But perhaps the best BB player we ever had that was a football stud in high school is Ben Finney.

RE: Zach Pascal - Old Dom Swag - 10-01-2018 10:37 PM

Breon Key wanted to play both but Blaine wouldn’t let him
