I said all last year that we were only a few plays away from losing 4 games and that we didn't have a great season...

I didn't think Norvell proved he was a great coach and said please don't pay him too much and was shouted down. Hopefully this is a fluke but I still think Norvell has not proven himself.

Mike Norvell needs to get pissed off about this.

Yes. Under Porter I think. I was there. But you block out bad memories.

body language was awful even when we were in it. Just really flat effort tonight. Getting crushed by Tulane => Norvell ain't going anywhere this season or off-season.

17 starters back. Norvell went all in on Brady White, and it failed. And don’t give me the defense business, we only have 14 points against Tulane, our offense can’t keep them off the field!

No dog in this team tonight. :(

RE: ***Official Memphis @ Tulane Game Thread*** (9/28) - ncrdbl1 - 09-28-2018 09:42 PM

both our lines are having their asses handed to them. Averaging only 1.9 yards per carry WITH Henderson big run. Without it we are negative yards rushing.

Wow - I am truly embarrassed for our team. Sure didn't envision this train wreck tonight.

Something ain’t right.. The South Alabama game was a good game to watch but I was very disappointed and knew they were in trouble.. There D is not good but it is not hard to make your D backs play up on the receivers.. It can’t get any worse than what they are doing.. Our DC is either clueless or our guys are just that unskilled.. No way this team wins 6 games..

Norvell has always been a gambler

His biggest problem is he can't take the slightest bit of pressure. That causes him to release it early or hold it too long. He has done well mostly because of the playmakers around him. I assume that he never fully recovered from the foot injury or it's just in his head when pressure comes.

I’m beginning to wonder that myself. This team is totally unimpressive and that looks eerily familiar.

You two are ridiculous

I said it was a joke. The reason I said it was the lethargy of this team tonight reminds me of that night. They look totally unprepared. No fire at all.

The first two games the defense was flying all over the field hitting like a freight train. Tonight they can't wrap anyone up.

RE: ***Official Memphis @ Tulane Game Thread*** (9/28) - Memphis10Tigers - 09-28-2018 09:43 PM

I still don't think David Moore was the answer. SHould have kept Brady Davis.

Larry Porter level bad tonight. No offense to Larry Porter either.

I saw one of the Tulane guys hand the ref a bag of one dollar bills, some beads and a strippers phone number. That is the reason we are losing.

Damn, I was really looking forward to a Tiger win tonight, not a Tigers getting their ass whooped. This really sucks. Like someone said, is it basketball season yet?

I think the players Norvell has brought in are far and away better than Fuente's guys.

But I was always concerned if Norvell could maintain the environment and the work ethic the Fuente put in place.
