I hate homecoming games being at noon.

Not ideal, but we'll make it work!

Being on either ESPN2 or ESPNU for a match up against Tulane is not bad at all, but Sports Illustrated currently shows it as an 8 PM kickoff, not noon. I would much prefer a night game...

I like a Noon homecoming game. Reminds me of being a freshman, staying up all night to work on the float. We got disqualified that year because our orange juice carton shot tang out of the straw and I guess if any part of your float touches the ground, even liquids you get disqualified.

We beat Syracuse 17-3 that year in front of a whopping 20,000 people.

NCAA and Fox Sports still show the kickoff time as TBA... I'm really hoping for a later kickoff. A noon kickoff would mean I have to be in Clifton around 6 or 7 AM for pregame events that I've committed to.

RE: Homecoming kickoff time and Network vs. Tulane Oct 6th - TubaCat - 09-24-2018 11:50 AM

Sporting News is also showing an 8 PM kickoff.

Regardless of time, I'll take 4 out of our first 6 games being on national broadcasts.

I have little ones in youth soccer. Noon starts are rough for me. Last weekend our last game started at 10:30. After his game, I literally threw my six year old in the car and got in my seats with about 8 minutes left in the 1st quarter. I suppose it will be much of the same for this one (unless we have games scheduled in the early afternoon which will really throw things out of whack).

All that being said, like the fact we are getting so much air time. We keep winning we'll keep getting on air.

Ridiculous! Homecoming should always be at 3:30 (7:00 is OK, but that can make an exceptionally long day) and ESPN should take that into consideration. We have lots of pre-game festivities set for homecoming that are very tough to get into that short of a window. I know all they care about is money, but they should consider the students and the fans. You would think one time a year per team they could figure it out. They have plenty of games and stations to play with.

Well I'll actually be able to make this one now, so I'm one of the few who are happy about this.

Same here. We have a 10:00 and 11:45 on that day. Since parking can really suck on homecoming, it is tough to get there late. So we probably will need to call in some favors again to have someone take our kids to and from the games.

Hate noon kickoffs, but my cousin gets married that night (enough with the fall weddings already).

Thrilled about this particular noon kickoff.

Works out well for watching UC at the Minster Oktoberfest. Especially with the Ohio State not starting until 4:00 pm.

Isn’t that the third largest Oktoberfest in the world...after Munich and Cincinnati?

Just be glad that you missed the first quarter of the Ohio U. game,

Not sure. We get about 80,000 people, which is a lot for our town of 2,800.

We will have between 20-30 people staying at our house all weekend. Over half of them former members of the UC band.

I have something to do in the evening that night so I am also happy. And I guess I'm in the minority but I like noon games. But I don't have young kids anymore.
