Our leader, GeorgiaTechSwagger, floated the idea of renaming the Old Dominion board in honor of Joe Suhoski aka @VBR_Productions aka @VaBeachRep.
Your faithful mods thought it was a good idea but thought it prudent to ask the board first.

I like the idea of honoring him in some meaningful and lasting way.
That said—and I hesitate to bring this up because a) it sounds as though I'm diminishing his impact on ODU sports and b) it's just morbid—what happens if a more prominent board member dies? I never met Joe, though I know a number of his real-life friends and based on their reactions to the news, he was a hell of a guy. But he wasn't all that active here, right? Whereas if someone with 10,000+ posts passes ... well, "deserves" is a bit off but maybe it's a more fitting honor to bestow that person if/when the time comes?
I'd suggest naming a sub-board after him, but all we have is the smack talk and off-topic boards.
But if you want to name the big board after him, I certainly won't complain.

I'm going to vote no.
I'm sure he would appreciate the gesture, but I know one of the reasons that Joe didn't post here much it that he wasn't a fan of the vitriol often used here (several great examples on page 1 currently)
It just doesn't seem right to me.
Joe was a big proponent for donating to your local food bank. If you want to honor Joe, that's I what recommend doing (and did myself).

Myself and the other mods wanted to try to do something to honor him and the board memorial sounded like a good idea. But considering Dev and other's remarks we have received via PM, it doesn't sound like something we should move forward with.
So, a food donation drive sounds like something that we can honor his memory with. Any ideas on making this happen as a group would be greatly appreciated.

Could we do a food drive at the FIU game? Someone with a decent spot could make an offer to have a drop off at their tailgate. Could be a way to put faces to names here as well. Edit - maybe the tech game instead, give more planning time

This almost ties in perfectly. I only know about it due to the ODU Richmond Alumni guys sharing the event. It's an alumni canned food drive, but also takes donations and it's held at Hardywood brewery here in Richmond.
