4.7 billion in tarriff related aid will be paid to farmers. - cb4029 - 08-27-2018 08:53 PM https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/u-government-pay-4-7-193205069.html Quote:The U.S. Department of Agriculture said on Monday its farm aid package would include $4.7 billion in direct payments to farmers to help offset losses from retaliatory tariffs on American exports this season. This is only the beginning. More welfare will be needed next month. Trump never knew how fun it was to play with monopoly money. ![]() Meanwhile, roads and infrastructure are still in shambles. Just see his nonsense about Mexico for an example. RE: 4.7 billion in tarriff related aid will be paid to farmers. - stinkfist - 08-27-2018 09:00 PM so let me get this right..... more former welfare recipients are working now more than before.... all people need foe-odd to survive.... many steps left out in the equation....kinda like your point..... and I'm certain you get mine..... RE: 4.7 billion in tarriff related aid will be paid to farmers. - stinkfist - 08-27-2018 09:02 PM if you wanna subsidize the welfare class, then go for mr "damn".... see how that works out long term..... RE: 4.7 billion in tarriff related aid will be paid to farmers. - Captain Bearcat - 08-27-2018 09:05 PM How does this actually get to farmers? Does each farmer have to file a crop report with the USDA in order to receive a check? Does it go directly to the farmer, or to the middlemen? I'm just curious. My wife is from a farming family, but it just mystifies me how the government organizes sending $4 billion in an equitable way to millions of people who have totally different investments in their farms (for some, it is their total livelihood, while for others it's just a hobby or an investment). Democrats hate farmers. Party of hate. Remember when you vote. Where were these monetary hawks when Barry was adding millions to the foodstamp roles? Where was the accusations of playing with "monopoly money" when Barry doubled the national debt? That would pretty much eliminate the "organic" faction of farmers.... Guy milking cows, running machinery, probably isn't a pothead. Guy wearing sandals with wool socks worrying about "free range" grains.... yeah..... I could get on board with your idea if you expand that screening process to: Foodstamp recipients Medicaid recipients People taking federal funding for "green" energy projects People getting credits for "renewable energy upgrades" People who received tax credits to buy their Tesla Let's start there. I'm sure most goes to the large farms and corporate farms. When the government was dispersing monies in the past, it would base the payments on things such as acres farmed, amount of grain produced, etc. It would make sense that the more acres you farm and the more grain you produce, the more monies you'd be eligible for. You can't just give more to people who are producing/farming less. Similar to tax cuts, the more money you make, the more a tax cut will benefit you. |
