Meuller investigations - Zombiewoof - 08-25-2018 04:55 PM

For all of the conspiracy theories set forth on these boards and the motivations assigned to Meuller by many on here, as well as Trump, I have never seen a press conference with Meuller or even a press release outlining details of his intentions.

Could it possibly be true that some Trump followers could be wrong about Meuller? Everything we know of Meuller indicates that he is principled to a fault, shuns the limelight, is meticulously thorough and ultimately wouldn't suggest charging Trump with a crime, even if he found one. So why all of the chest thumping about Meuller and his investigations? Why not let it play out and see how it ends up? He apparently isn't the type of guy that likes to waste time; he is simply detail driven. I have a lot more confidence that the investigations will provide answers we can trust, largely because of Meuller. And I suspect the final report to the DOJ will land without nearly the fanfare many are expecting.

Seems like an attempt to smear Meuller by association, but as I scanned the article, I saw nothing to indicate that Meuller wouldn't do a proper investigation.

Here is an alternative POV

If Mueller is so honorable, why did he fill his bipartisan panel with 13 Democrats, most of them Hillary donors. He is a snake.

This is all you need to know.

They want to convict Trump by association then what does this person say of Mueller?

Quote:Hatfill became "the subject of a flood of news media coverage beginning in mid-2002, after television cameras showed Federal Bureau of Investigation agents in biohazard suits searching his apartment" and then Attorney General John Ashcroft named him "person of interest" in the investigation on national television.[1] Hatfill's home was repeatedly raided by the FBI, his phone was tapped, and he was extensively surveilled for more than two years; he was also fired from his job at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).[2] "At a news conference in August 2002, Hatfill tearfully denied that he had anything to do with the anthrax letters and said irresponsible news media coverage based on government leaks had destroyed his reputation".[1] Hatfill filed a lawsuit in 2003, accusing the FBI agents and Justice Department officials who led the criminal investigation of leaking information about him to the press in violation of the federal Privacy Act.[1]

In 2008, the government settled Hatfill's lawsuit for $4.6 million.

Guess who ran that investigation?

Seriously, you need to take some time and read about Bueller's history. It's not nearly what you'd have us believe.

Mueller has a history of trying to get someone rather than searching for the truth. He's ruined the life of an innocent person before, and is know in the legal community to have engaged in unethical behavior such as trying to entrap a criminal defense attorney. Thats why I dont trust him. He's squeezing people to get trump. He doesnt seem to care that such pressure may make people "compose" to save themselves.

Doesn't take much searching to find that squeaky clean image is nothing but a bunch of self-promotion.

He’s a dirty SOB. Look no further than his lead lawyer Andrew Wiesman. That person should be no where near this investigation and is a clear indication of Mueller’s complete contempt for the rule of law. Do some research on him, if you dare. And don’t forget Strzok was his boy to until the IG blew that up in his face. Mueller is on a personal mission to ruin Trump. Make no mistake about it.

RE: Meuller investigations - Hambone10 - 08-25-2018 07:28 PM

If the left would do the same thing, I don't think you'd see the attacks on Mueller.

But that's the 'game' today... it's Mueller v Trump representing the left and right. The media is (mostly) against Trump or at least in favor of some sort of crisis that sells papers.

You're essentially suggesting that the right should sit back and wait, but the problem with that is that Trump is innocent until proven guilty, thus the people who should be waiting (by law) are those against Trump.

There was a point where it was legitimate. That point passed a long time ago.

It is now political theatre.

You can investigate until the cows come home but not a single thing from the stated intentions of the investigation has materialized.

Sadly “the stated intentions of the investigation” were so vaguely outlined (more than likely on purpose) as to allow this chit show to go on forever. Mueller is now thick into finding a way to subpoena Trump’s tax returns. Where have we heard this before?

Sorry I went to dinner with family, but I have returned with liver intact. 04-rock

Again, in spite of efforts to characterize him otherwise, Meuller is not some agenda driven liberal. He will go where the evidence takes him, then produce his report. If you had read my original post to the end, you would see that I believe that his finding will be presented without fanfare and I will add, without criminal accusations directed at Trump.

I can tell you exactly how his finding will be presented. It'll be presented in such a way that dims will have all the ammunition they believe they need to try to impeach Trump. Bueller will not ever let it appear that he's coming away from this empty-handed. Never. Why else would he have indicted a bunch of Ruskis he knew damned good and well would never show up for a court date?

There's nothing in his history that's speaks favorably of his integrity. Examples of his lack of integrity have been offered up yet you conveniently ignore them and continue to advance your argument based on what exactly? Opinion? Give us some examples of these things you say recommend him as a great guy.

I never said he was a great guy and believe many find him to be too intense and quite unlikeable. I was simply stating that the narrative here seems to be that he is on an all-out mission to nail Trump when those who appear to know him well have stated that he would be unlikely to suggest setting the precedent of charging the president with a crime (should evidence of one exist). The point was not to paint Meuller as some white knight, but rather to suggest that people have jumped the gun on his motivations. Nothing has been brought to light regarding Trump and there is no evidence that Meuller has nailing Trump on his agenda. I am simply asking that we let the investigations play out before imposing our own bias on the issues at hand.
