Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) and Wife Indicted - Redwingtom - 08-22-2018 03:11 PM

On any normal day, this would have been the lead story.

Quote:The indictment makes it clear that the Hunters were in dire financial straits and could not have supported their lifestyle without the use of those campaign funds.

The Hunters overdrew their personal bank accounts more 1,100 times in a seven-year period, according to the indictment from the US Attorney's Office in San Diego, resulting in $37,761 in "overdraft" and "insufficient funds" bank fees.

Spends more than he has? Sounds like a typical politician.

Is there really any argument against to saying "politics is Hollywood for ugly people" ?

These self-righteous fvcks. You know why Trump wins? Because of entitled politicians like Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) and his buffoon wife.

if they're found guilty they'll be punished and rightfully so.

What a couple of clowns...throw them under the damn jail...who cares what political party they are aligned with, they deserve every bit of punishment they get

What an a-hole. This guy was my congressman until three months ago when I finally moved away from that hellhole.

There is no middle ground in California, so this guy will probably keep getting elected.

I don't know how he thought he could get away with that.

Dipping into campaign funds is just a dumb*** thing to do.

they're already in jail....self imposed debtors prison....

they'd be better off jumping off a cliff vs. working at the dollar general.....

Hunter, who charged his campaign $600 for a plane ticket for his pet bunny, was the second Congressman to endorse Trump:

You're exactly right: entitled politicians like Duncan Hunter have worked tirelessly to protect the entitled buffoon Trump. And isn't it against the rules here to dodge the profanity filter with a v-for-u sub, or is that just blazertalk?

I'm so glad democrats have become prudes. Trump is truly magnificent. He drains swamps everywhere.

I thought I heard that there is no recourse to have his name removed from the ballot. Additionally, I don't think write-in candidates are even allowed. Dumb if true.

Perhaps it was different before the primary took place.

I don't know about his name being removed, but he cannot be replaced. California only allows a candidate to be replaced if the individual on the ballot dies. Not exactly the smartest policy. Also don't know about write-ins.

Just more proof California is an unaffordable place to live..........

Even a cheating politician can't make it work.
