"Truth isn't the truth" - cb4029 - 08-19-2018 01:32 PM ![]() I think it's a rule that you have to become dumber to defend Trump. Alternative facts. Facts evolve. Now truth isn't truth. Sad RE: "Truth isn't the truth" - stinkfist - 08-19-2018 01:37 PM 0=0 1=1 pick your poison son..... RE: "Truth isn't the truth" - Owl 69/70/75 - 08-19-2018 02:01 PM Rudy is past is prime. The correct statement of the problem is that Mueller would have the opportunity to go into excruciating detail about any factoid, no matter how immaterial, and to scream perjury if Trump makes even a tiny misstep. That's not a reasonable position for Mueller to take, but what keeps him from doing it other than whatever level of integrity Mueller has? It's basically how they got Scooter Libby and Martha Stewart. And I doubt very seriously that Mueller would view such an occasion as an opportunity to show off his integrity. He could have gone for a squeaky clean team that was apolitical. Instead--he went the other way. He rounded up a bunch of ethically tainted bulldogs with political ties and marched them off, torches in hand, to find some witches to burn. He was given a pile of raw data gathered from a year (or more) from 17 Obama intelligence agencies, foriegn intelligence agencies, wire taps, and actual spies inside the Trump campaign. Nearly 2 years later---he has figured out there is nothing there---and if he is to have his witch to burn---he'll have to create one with a perjury trap. Sad. No reason to talk to him. He's got nothing. So--Julliani is right. The truth is the truth---unless Meuller can find a way to say its not. Perhaps one day we will get to hear Mueller explain that the basis of the charges "depends on what the meaning of 'is' is" when he discusses why he has his manufactured witch standing in front of a judge requesting the ok to build a fire. His last chance is to get Trump to interview voluntarily. I believe he's already acknowledged the DOJ's position that the president cannot be forced to interview via subpoena, so the best he can do is prepare a report that congressional dims can use to draft articles of impeachment. I suspect it's gonna be tough to do so without the perjury trap interview. Pound sand Bueller. Mr Talking head can’t for the life of him follow simple logic. 30 hours of interviews with the White House council will surely get you enough time and dates and details to manufacture a perjury charge. So the president will say FOff and Mueller will write his hit piece saying that there was ample evidence of collusion but, dog gone it, he just can’t prove it without the president being interviewed. The MSM will carry on with the same ole chit till Trump is gone in 6 years. And don’t forget the cb’s of the world will never comprehend their failure. It will be as hard for them to understand as string theory. The "truth" is whatever people are going to say under oath. It would be absolutely insane to let Trump talk to Mueller. RE: "Truth isn't the truth" - Marc Mensa - 08-19-2018 06:39 PM Trump is a habitual liar. Rudy knows Trump is a habitual liar. Trump will never volutarily testify because he will perjure himself. At this point, his attorney can't keep his story straight. RE: "Truth isn't the truth" - stinkfist - 08-19-2018 06:49 PM (08-19-2018 06:39 PM)Marc Mensa Wrote: Trump is a habitual liar. RE: "Truth isn't the truth" - cb4029 - 08-19-2018 07:07 PM You have all this proof that Mueller is indicting people for differences of opinion and simple misunderstandings. Can you show me the proof. I must have missed it. Put him on the stand and if someone contradicts him, the press is going to have a field day. They will side with whomever contradicts Trump and jump to the conclusion that Trump perjured himself. No reason to take that chance. I believe the real reason for this perjury nonsense, is they don't want the real Americans to get a report from Mueller that includes, Trump lied here, and his story doesn't match up there. Things that could cause them to take action at the polls. All to save a lying ass. Party over country is in full effect.
