RE: Maxine Waters And Democrats’ Angry Mobs Will Hurt At The Polls - UCGrad1992 - 07-02-2018 02:09 PM I think it's telling that as Mad Cow Max digs in, more are coming out against her. She is probably already on an island if Alveda King is speaking out. Ms. King is a former Georgia House of Representatives member and the niece of MLK, Jr. And then this attempt to censure Mad Cow Maxine: RE: Maxine Waters And Democrats’ Angry Mobs Will Hurt At The Polls - UCGrad1992 - 07-02-2018 02:24 PM ![]() ![]()
RE: Maxine Waters And Democrats’ Angry Mobs Will Hurt At The Polls - nomad2u2001 - 07-02-2018 02:34 PM I don't think it will hurt. The rules of the game this go 'round are clear: things that would make people unelectable will be ignored. All lines have been pretty much mutally erased in 2016. This may be the most unpredictable race in history. This behavior is firing up the Republicans. Trump keeps getting more and more popular among Republicans. Its turning off moderate independents. It is doubtful it is making progressive Democrats any more fired up than they are. Any other time I would be right there with you. As I said in another thread, the vote might as well happen today. The election is already won or lost, we just don't know the results yet. There's little need to spend a dime on a campaign unless something major happens with your opponent. When I say major, I'm talking about a situation where your opponent gets caught with kiddie porn or something. I do agree November is very unpredictable. But I disagree as I'm pretty sure Maxine is hurting the Democrats. Agree. Why would Schumer, Pelosi and others feel the need to address it publicly (even if it is watered down) if there was no risk to the party? I think the issue is there are those on either side of the aisle that are entrenched no matter what - the key are those undecideds or independents. Remember, the DEMS are trying to gain votes to win some key battles in November. They want the negativity on Trump and his administration and not focusing the spot light on themselves. RE: Maxine Waters And Democrats’ Angry Mobs Will Hurt At The Polls - VA49er - 07-02-2018 04:24 PM If the D's don't watch out, Mad Maxine is going to become the defacto face of the D party. I imagine the R's will use that advantage to the fullest extent come election time. |
