GIVE IT UP

RE: In Contempt - Kronke - 06-26-2018 05:16 PM

Almost as if they're hiding something.

RE: In Contempt - Native Georgian - 06-26-2018 05:41 PM

Does Rosenstein have a boss who can instruct him to provide certain documents?

Yes, and only dims could rationalize that demanding information be made available to investigators is considered obstruction of justice.

RE: In Contempt - TechRocks - 06-26-2018 08:35 PM

The only logical conclusion as to why his Orange Majesty isn't inserting himself into the big middle of all of this and using his executive powers to make things happen is that he's giving guys like Rosenstein the rope they need to hang themselves.

Heh.

Yes about the lunatics and yes about I-already-knew-it.

But my real point is that there are times (and this is one of them) when leaders have to step up and Just Do It rather than playing for field position.

Trump needs to tell Sessions and Rosenstein — in a voice loud enough for everyone else to hear — to get off their @sses and comply with the subpoenas. All of them. Right now. Let the haters hate and the moaners moan. No one cares what they say or do anymore.

My take on it NG, for what it's worth, is that Trump already knows the final outcome. As friggin' president of the United States, how hard would it be for him to make himself aware of what's there? I think he's merely letting this thing plod along and will pull the trigger at the opportune time. Why take a shot at a single duck when there's another clearly about to cross paths with the one already in the sights?

Republicans in the House are simply trying to pass along information to the Trump legal team so l L’Orane will not perjure himself in the event he is forced to testify.

Nice try, but one doesn't have anything to do with the other, no? We're talking about the actions of the FBI investigating the Trump campaign, pre-Bueller, versus Trump either colluding with Russians or obstructing justice. So the former would have nothing to do with the latter.

Where they might end up tying together is that it'll eventually become evident, even to dims wearing blinders, is that the Bueller investigation is a farce and a set-up.

Won’t happen until he is an ex-President.

As an institution, the American presidency has existed for 229+ years. Never ever — not Nixon, not Clinton, not anybody — has an incumbent president been forced to testify against his will. About anything.

Its new territory for sure but it is believed a President can be forced to testify if he alone can provide the needed information/evidence. If he refuses it can lay the groundwork for impeachment... which is a real possibility if the Democrats take the House.

Agreed. But they still can’t force him to testify.

I actually believe a Democrat-majority in the House would impeach Trump regardless of whether he testifies or not.

Good chance that'll happen, though I'm counting on seeing one of these first.

1). Collusion = Failed.
2). Obstruction = Failed.
3). Perjury = Yeah, let's see if that one will work!!!

Trump already knows any information they might yet get. He’s waiting to blow the cabal to hell just before the midterms. Release it all at the very time ole Mueller boy leaks to the press he is closing in on Trump and the Russians.

I believe in the Easter Bunny too but that doesn't make him any more real.
