If we are doing BOLD predictions...
- LaTech beats Southern Miss (finally)
- UTSA beats UNT (throwing a bone to the UTSA fans)
- MT starting quarterback misses less than 4 games

Charlotte firing Lambert isn't bold, it's pretty much expected as no one sees this team getting more than 3-4 wins.

lol. If the game were in Murfreesboro, they might be 5-7 point favorites, but it's not. They won't beat us at home. I'd say we have a better shot at losing to FIU in Miami.

I mean UNT's 98-yard comeback with a minute left to win the game by a few points is legendary to their fans because of how improbable it was, and it still only made their second win in the series (out of five), but sure.

I acknowledge that good money is on UNT for this year's game, and also that Mason Fine is an outstanding young quarterback. But that isn't a bold prediction.

Marshall loses to Miami but beats NCST, MT and FAU at home. Loses to USM at the Rock.

Here's probably the boldest prediction I could come up with on Tech's schedule, Tech walks into Death Valley and beats LSU. (As far as I see it, its either this year or no year)

D is key. Troy did it last year with solid 3rd-down defense, as the Tigers were 0-9 on 3rd for the game. It was LSU's only home loss last season.

Indeed, it also doesn't hurt that LSU isn't quite what it used to be.

Stock is back. Last time he started against Marshall he throw for over 350 yards and beat the Herd. Marshall is breaking in a new QB. I'll stick with MT winning this one.

The way La Tech choked it away last year was epic. Not sure if there isn't a mental block there.

This is not true and no, its not just me that thinks we might surprise some this season.

Who else? Between NNN and Twitter, I've literally seen no one that thinks this team wins more than four games. People have stated the goal should be 6 wins or Lambert should be fired.

We still don't know who the QB will be and there isn't single group on the field that I would rate in the top half of CUSA. This is a lame duck season for us and if I'm wrong I'll gladly eat crow. If I'm right, Lambert is gone...so it's a win-win situation in my book.
