Amanda Ellis was put in as interim coach after Marla resigned. She had a pretty decent debut season, finishing 2nd overall in the conference. Does anybody know if she wanted to be head coach full-time?

The record sucked overall. Finished 2nd in CUSA though.

Hardly worth bragging about.

According to recent trends, Ingram will find an assistant from Iowa to coach softball.

What kind of player turnover did we have in softball?
Did we lose high impact seniors after last season?
With the team finishing 2nd in the conference, doesn't that indicate improvement as the season went on and the team gelled?

Maybe.

Could also mean that CUSA wasn't that great.

I haven't kept up with it quite as closely the last few years after Streetman graduated so I'm not sure of the turnover. I guess we could glance at the number of freshmen on the team to see how many may have left.

After glancing, we had 5 freshmen on the team which is about par per year for what you should have per class.

Can't remember who we lost from last season.
