Can not say I agree with this article. Maybe the old Bucky Pirate logo as secondary to the "E".

At ETSU the E is the University logo, not just the athletics logo.
The problem was that ETSU had over 100 logos in use and no consistent brand at all.
DarthBucky wasn't even developed in the school colors and will always be doomed by an association with the failed ASun experiment.

The new ETSU logo is a hit. To me it represents a positive step forward. It is rather unique in that it is a clever combination of geography and the institution associated with that geographic description minus a dumbed down perception of over simplification.

This is a dumb article designed to get clicks. The fans have spoken and the ‘E’ has been clearly embraced by the fan base, and community for that matter. Bobby Rader should have him on the show to explain himself.

I like the the "E" but if you don't live in the East Tennessee Area, no one knows what school it represents. I try to find gear that has ETSU on it.
Hopefully this changes in the future.

Winning is the only thing that will fix any of it. Otherwise folks think ETSU is East Texas State or whatever.
