I like the mountains in the background. I hope to see Boise State and Wave FC play there.

Wave FC is moving in next season. The local rumor is we may be getting an MLS club as well, probably contingent upon MLS getting a big enough slice of the stadium's revenues. We'll see.

WKU board of regents approved a press box renovation and Hilltopper Fieldhouse (indoor athletic facility in addition to other functions).

Up to 6 million on the press box, 35 million on the IPF. Renders and designs to come after bidding process.

The latest on USF's on campus stadium.

-Opening 2026
-Construction starting in 2024
-35K capacity (think SDSU Snapdragon stadium). Could change slightly.
-Includes a football operations center facility (likely)
-Near under construction IPF
-USF to now get proposals from Design/Construction companies
-Company likely to be selected Sep 6th
-Rendering should come then

Finally...should have happened 10 years ago.

How accessible is this location to students on campus and off campus?

USF has been able to get some big schools to agree to come to town due to the ability to play in an NFL stadium in a prime recruiting area. Is it expected the Miami game in 2027 and the Notre Dame game in 2029 will stay at RJS or move to campus? Miami's one thing but I have a hard time envisioning ND playing an AAC school in a 35,000 seat stadium.

ND won't play at a 35K seat stadium...they can easily sell out out the RJS

They could charge 150 a seat for upper deck seats and get it.

Hearing that news yesterday was baffling to me, especially since there is no architect of record announced. I must assume that since USF is a state university, they have selected an architectural firm based in Florida to be on the record and the major stadium players like HKS, Populous, or HOK to do the major design work.

South of the corner of 50th/Fletcher is basically where the stadium will be and the indoor facility is nearly it's topping off and personally, it looks tightly placed in that available area, thus just 35K. Just drove by there on Thursday and was surprised how quickly the indoor facility has been built.

I haven’t seen anything official come out from the school but I’m hearing due to the contractor having a hard time getting material the JSU stadium upgrades could take a little longer. Like I said just chatter on our boards so far is all I’ve seen

35K is not set in stone. It could be more, possibly 40K, with potential to expand. I don't think it will be much more than that though. The design companies will present proposals from what I understand, and my educated guess is that most of those will be in the 35-40K range. Many people have bandied about Snapdragon and CSU's stadium as templates. SDSU's is 35, CSU's is 40. As far as Miami, they have played at Sun Belt schools, so there is no problem with them coming to USF. The schools have played 6 times in the past, if I remember correctly. I don't know if ND would be kept at OCS or moved to RJS on a one time good deal.

The way things are going...40K is the old 50K. Attendance is dropping at many schools. It would be one of the smaller stadiums in P5 but not the smallest and with RJS nearby it can still host the largest draws.

She’s starting to look like she will when done. The newest CFB stadium in CA by decades.

I honestly don't know what to think of these or how well it will sell, but at least State is trying to get more fans in the stadium... The Balconies

Baylor getting a new basketball arena will soon be sprouting up from the concrete near I-35 and Robinson Tower. The $185-million Foster Pavilion should stand as a striking representation of Baylor’s progress and on-court success.

It was confirmed today that the Hawaii state legislature’s $400 million appropriation to build a replacement for Aloha Stadium will be signed into law by the governor tomorrow. The design/build RFP should go out shortly thereafter to the three finalist bidders on the project. An award should be made by early 2023 and construction should begin soon thereafter.

Timely news for UH given what’s been happening on the realignment front.
