This is going to be fun to watch. My bet is that they get some stadium significantly closer than Dolphins stadium.

Ruiz sure took it nuclear. Now it's just a matter of finding 11 acres.

The homeowners in Coral Gables are not in favor of a football stadium built in their neighborhood.

In case anyone is curious, the Ruiz family has put up a video site where they talk about the stadium. They're doing a daily webcast at 5pm.

Quote:The University of South Florida is narrowing down a plan to build a football stadium on the Tampa campus.

The USF board of trustees met Tuesday to come up with a scope, location, and budget for their very own stadium on the main campus. It's a plan they hope to have finished by the end of June 2022.

USF officials told trustees there are five possible stadium locations on campus. They say funding is key and, at the moment, the project is estimated to cost anywhere between $250 million and $400 million.

The university is aiming to have the stadium open for fans at the start of the 2026 football season.

Yep..topic for another thread: the University of South Florida is in Tampa, and not in Miami, though Miami is in what is actually known today as South Florida.

But, it looks like both USF and the University of Miami are going to find ways to build on-campus stadiums. Good for them.

I don’t think it’s been posted here, but thanks to a local hospital UL is FINALLY able to get the much-needed renovation to Cajun Field started.

The biggest part of the construction is that the west tower will be completely demolished and a new one built in it’s place. Word is that the demo will be done in the early spring, and the actual construction to begin this summer, once the plans are finalized.

Plans aren’t finalized yet, but I’m attaching the latest renderings.

Also, another big part of this will be that the football admin offices will be included in the new structure, which will then allow us to tear down the current building that houses them and a Champions Square will be built in it’s place…..which will be perfectly situated in the middle of the football, baseball, IPF and tennis courts.

In a bid to keep up with the P5s...or at least not fall too far behind: Syracuse will be tearing down their 18K SQFT Football Operations center and build a new one at 51K SQFT.

Scribed Form with the proposal

Lots of planning gobbledygook but scroll down to about page 14 for drawings, etc...
