The plan is to leave the Ching Field improvements in place after the UH football team moves to its future home at reconstructed Aloha Stadium. The 15K-seat on-campus facility will be ideal for marquee high school football games and also could host UH football scrimmages, high school marching band shows, concerts, university assemblies and graduations, etc. And of course the track will remain available for UH women's track & field meets. However Ching Field won't be used for UH women's soccer matches as the team already plays at a beautiful 4,500-seat stadium with a grass field at a county soccer complex near Pearl Harbor: RE: Stadium Renovation and Construction Thread - AztecEmpire - 07-01-2021 01:20 PM Weekly Aztec Stadium Progress update RE: Stadium Renovation and Construction Thread - HawaiiMongoose - 07-07-2021 03:11 AM At UH’s temporary stadium, the new bleachers continue to rise and the “H” logo is now painted on the new field turf: Meanwhile here’s the latest conceptual rendering of the future Aloha Stadium replacement and surrounding entertainment district development: RE: Stadium Renovation and Construction Thread - TexanMark - 07-07-2021 10:15 AM (07-07-2021 03:11 AM)HawaiiMongoose Wrote: At UH’s temporary stadium, the new bleachers continue to rise and the “H” logo is now painted on the new field turf: I guess it is because of the hot sun...I'd sure love to flip that stadium 180 degrees to catch the ocean. We actually had a rainbow-colored track before it was replaced two years ago. The sun had faded the colors quite a bit by the time this photo was taken: Truth be told there's no substitute for the real thing: RE: Stadium Renovation and Construction Thread - AZcats - 07-27-2021 09:20 PM D2 Livingstone College Blue Bears in Salisbury, NC (CIAA) is doing some stadium renovations.
