The End Of The ‘Boy Scouts’: Changing Name To Be More Gender Neutral - usmbacker - 05-02-2018 01:42 PM ![]() The left won't be happy until they neuter every male in this country. Quote:Don’t assume their gender anymore. Allowing girls was simply the nail in the coffin. What's doubly bad is the impact on Girl Scouts. They are fighting over a dwindling resource though, aka, children that want to do something that doesn't involve their smart phones or tablets. RE: The End Of The ‘Boy Scouts’: Changing Name To Be More Gender Neutral - Chappy - 05-02-2018 02:03 PM They announced TODAY something effective February of 2018? I hope they also discovered the flux capacitor. Phuck phucking political correctness and the phucking horse they were too afraid to ride in on. It's the death knell for the Girls Scouts of America and that means no more girl scout cookies. RE: The End Of The ‘Boy Scouts’: Changing Name To Be More Gender Neutral - Lord Stanley - 05-02-2018 02:32 PM As is the best way to share undeniable facts, I give you a story. ![]() My son plays lacrosse and he has a girl on his team. She is nice, funny, tough, and not afraid. The boys like her and the word on the street is that she's plenty good for the girl's lacrosse teams. But she gets smoked, absolutely demolished, on the field by the boys. Outside of this one kid who is certified awful and really should take up the drums or something less athletic, she is completely outclassed. From what I can tell, the only loser in this whole experiment is her, unfortunately (in the sense of she's not enjoying the game anymore.) The boys just go about their game, with her in tow. In this asinine demands that all things are equal and this strange denial of gender inequalities in body and spirit, this young girl is dispirited, removed from her peer group of other girls playing her sport, and while not a laughing stock in the least, simply someone who is not going to excel in this demand for girls to be part of boy things. /soapbox RE: The End Of The ‘Boy Scouts’: Changing Name To Be More Gender Neutral - BadgerMJ - 05-02-2018 02:46 PM (05-02-2018 02:32 PM)Lord Stanley Wrote: As is the best way to share undeniable facts, I give you a story. We had a similar story with a high school near us and the football team, a couple girls went out and (do to it being a very small school), they made the team. Just like your story, they got destroyed by the boys. As much as the left-wing, man hating, "women" faction wants to believe it, girls and boys ARE different. That also reminds me of the inevitable claims you hear during the NCAA tournament about the girls game being just as good as the boys. Sorry, it just plain isn't. I got into a heated argument with a left leaning female friend of mine about this and I bet her that the best UConn woman's team couldn't beat any of the boys HS state champion teams, which enraged her even further. My point to her was, like this year, the top prospects for the boys will go about 6'6", 220 lbs. Just who do you think will guard that guy? Her answer was to tell me to F.O. and walked away. I was an NCAA Division One scholarship swimmer - good, but not setting the world on fire. I was never even close to an individual MAC championship or podium and outside of one relay where we came within a second of NCAA B cut qualifying times I never saw big time success, if you define success as conference or NCAA medals. But up until about two years ago my times from the mid-90s in my events would have all been first place at women's NCAAs. So just now there are some fine college female swimmers (and just a few at that) that could beat the times of a middling male swimmer. Both the pack leader and the den leader (who is female) have commented to me the number of girls expected to come over is really high. Their counter parts with the Brownies have already inquired about positions that may be needed to address our numbers. Apparently the Boy Scouts have more activities that the girls are interested in. RE: The End Of The ‘Boy Scouts’: Changing Name To Be More Gender Neutral - tigergreen - 05-02-2018 03:54 PM The Boy Scouts have done this because of their own dwindling numbers, not some drive to be more gender neutral. They're trying to boost their numbers, & this is how they chose to do it. Sorry, it just plain isn't.The physical size, strength and speed in the women’s game is (of course) not “just as good” as the men’s game. And I’d say the talent is dispersed less-evenly in the women’s game, resulting in more (and worse) blowouts, compared to the men’s game. So there’s that. But when you do get to watch WBB between two evenly or almost-evenly-matched teams, I’ve heard a lot of people say that the games themselves are simply more entertaining to watch because of the (alleged) greater emphasis on fundamentals and team-play. I’m not saying that’s true 100% of the time, but I have definitely observed it in many games at the college and WNBA level. RE: The End Of The ‘Boy Scouts’: Changing Name To Be More Gender Neutral - thespiritof1976 - 05-02-2018 04:36 PM If I had a kid, I would have pulled him out of the BSA the second they started letting gay men "lead" scout troops. Lead them into the sewer is what they are doing, IMO.... Here is a more than worthy alternative: Royal Rangers RE: The End Of The ‘Boy Scouts’: Changing Name To Be More Gender Neutral - thespiritof1976 - 05-02-2018 04:40 PM (05-02-2018 02:28 PM)JTiger Wrote:(05-02-2018 01:57 PM)49RFootballNow Wrote: Somewhat ironically, the Girl Scouts have been among the most vocal groups opposed to the Boy Scouts taking in girls. You want to know why so many women today are trashy, have tattoo's, look and dress like pigs, and are proud of it ? Go try to find a nice girl today that doesn't look like trailer trash. Quite hard to find. And what has it done ? It has prevented the men that do need to start a family from setting down and starting said family b/c unless they can find a respectable woman, they'll choose to be alone their entire lives. Go look at the first 5 minutes of Idiocracy. That's what feminism got us. It defined deviancy down. My thoughts exactly the Boy Scouts USED TO BE supported by many churches of all denominations the previous changes cost them a lot of that support and definitely a drop in membership. This will all but finish them off. There is a new organization with values like the Boy Scouts used to have. In the past few years, I have remarked to my wife how unkempt we have become as a society. My neighbor just retired from his Ob/Gyn practice after 30 years in practice. He said the job was just becoming too dangerous due to all the patient’s with Hepatitis, not to mention how non-complaint pregnant mothers were with staying off drugs and alcohol. In s word he said the women are just “nasty” compared to patients he encountered 20-30 years ago. RE: The End Of The ‘Boy Scouts’: Changing Name To Be More Gender Neutral - Chappy - 05-02-2018 06:16 PM 50 years from now, girls in Scouting BSA will be as controversial as girls at the local YMCA. |
