I thought he was being groomed for KB's replacement. Maybe it will go to Hawk now and we can get a basketball coach that is willing to teach his team how to defend the perimeter.

My best guess is the only reason he’s leaving is that he needs to diversify his resume a bit before he’s ready to take over KB’s position. But I do think there’s a good chance he comes back someday. Wish him the best.

Monte will never be the AD as long as Johnston and Miller are on the board. They, along with Dunn, made it clear he would never take over for KB. Not sure what he did to the board members, but Dunn never liked the guy. It's probably a good thing he got out, because he's a pretty smart guy. Mellissa will be missed, too.
