Friday - 5 PM...73 at gametime w/ 40% rain for an hour or so, 9 mph winds
Saturday - 2 PM...75 at gametime, 10 mph winds
Sunday - 11 AM (website says 11 pm but obvious typo there)..57 at game time, 12 mph winds
looking like cool and windy all weekend. Friday's game might have a slight delay but it appears as of now the rain will be a quick moving shower that shouldn't last but an hour to 2 at most.

NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion welcomes No. 11 Southern Miss to Norfolk for the first time ever this weekend at the Bud Metheny Complex. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. ET on Friday, 3 p.m. ET on Saturday and 12 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Old Dominion enters the weekend rolling offensively. The Monarchs have posted 10 or more hits in each of the last six games and are hitting .310 as a club during that span.
Erik Stock (.347, 2 HR, 15 RBI) is hitting .476 in the last five games, while Will Morgan (.240, 6 HR, 23 RBI) has been the top run producer and home-run threat for the Monarchs. Matt Schwarz (.350, 15 RBI, 5 SB), who has missed the last 12 games due to illness, is expected to return to the lineup.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss baseball team travels to Norfolk, Va., to take on Old Dominion for a Conference USA series.
The Golden Eagles head into the weekend with a six-game win streak after defeating South Alabama 5-3 on Tuesday night. Luke Reynolds led the team with two hits against the Jaguars and now leads the squad with 53 hits on the season.
Reynolds, Matt Wallner and Hunter Slater have all totaled over 50 hits this season while also driving in 125 runs. The Golden Eagles have outscored its opponents 301-152 after 40 games.
The Golden Eagles pitching staff fanned 35 Blue Raiders in last weekend’s home series and earned their first conference sweep of the season. Stevie Powers had a career-high night tossing 12 strikeouts in eight innings improving to 4-1 on the season. Nick Sandlin returned to the mound after missing one rotation and struck out 12 batters in just five innings of work earning him his fourth C-USA pitcher of the week award of the season.
Sandlin will return to the starting lineup for Friday's 5 p.m., contest while Powers returns to the middle game at 2 p.m., and Walker Powell will close the series out on the mound on Sunday 11 a.m.
Southern Miss outscored Middle Tennessee 28-3. Slater hit the fourth grand slam of the season for the Golden Eagles and has now homered eight times.
Southern Miss sits atop of the conference standings with a 13-4 record in league play while the Monarchs sit last with a 5-13 record. Old Dominion is 2-8 in their last 10 games before hosting the Golden Eagles.
Old Dominion will throw left-handed pitcher Luke Krantz to open the weekend series who posts a 6.48 ERA and right-handed pitcher Morgan Maguire with a 3.18 ERA on Saturday. Sunday’s pitcher is TBA at this juncture.

Old Dominion has 10 or more hits in six consecutive games. During that span, the Monarchs are hitting .310 and has improved the team average by 23 points from
.261 to .284
ODU has had a Friday starting pitcher go longer than five innings just once this season (Morgan Maguire, 7 IP, 3ER, at Rice on April 6). ODU was the last team to have a Friday starter go five innings in the NCAA.
The Monarchs have played just one game against a ranked opponent this season. On Feb. 28, ODU fell to then No.18 East Carolina, 10-3, in Greenville. ECU is now ranked eighth in the nation
The worst winning percentage of the DI era in ODU history is .339. This year, the Monarchs will have to go at least 6-9 in the remaining fifteen games to avoid setting
the record for worst winning percentage of the DI era.

Press box setup sounds like a nightmare. Would appear that all media are in the same room. You can hear the PA guy. Hard to hear what Cox says at times.
You could hear FIU's people openly rooting for the home team in the press box a few weeks ago. CUSA schools are dying to beat us. Reminds me of when Memphis ran through basketball back in the day. We're everyone's World Series.
