WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told President Donald Trump last week that he is not a target of any part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday.
Citing two unnamed sources, Bloomberg said Rosenstein brought up the matter and offered the reassurance in a meeting with Trump at the White House on April 12, and that the development "helped tamp down the president’s desire to remove Rosenstein or Mueller."
Trump told some of his closest advisers after the meeting that it is not the right time to remove either man since he is not a target of the probe, Bloomberg reported.

So even though Trump is not the "target" does it mean that that arrow won't sort of meander into Trump's bottom? If in fact he isn't a target then what the heck are they still looking for? The reason for the investigation was Trump's collusion (Demoncraptic accusations) with the Russkies so in fact this investigation should be stopped at this time or in other words NOW!

Is it one or the other? Neither? True in both cases?

Personally, at this point, I'd rate Trump's chances of getting his ass in a sling for collusion with the Russians to influence the election at zero. Obstruction of justice for the firing of Comey also at, or near, zero. Obstruction of justice trying to cover up what was discussed at a meeting with the Ruskis at Trump Tower at about 10% tops.
That leaves his dealings with Cohen which I'd say there's at least a 50-50 chance they could find something to make his life miserable. It wouldn't have anything to do with the reason the entire witch hunt was started in the first place, but we're adults here and know this is not about justice, it's about removing the threat from office.
If it's true he's not a target in anything they've found in Cohen's possession (and I'd be amazed that that would the case so quickly), then I'd say shut farking Bueller down and let's get on with making America great for the next 7 years.

All I want to see is the same standard applied with equal vigor to all parties. That's not quite true, that's not quite all. I would like to see that standard be a very high one. If you set the bar where I want, then I would expect it is very possible that some members of the Trump campaign, along with Hillary, Comet, Mueller, Lynch, and others would do time, but I'm afraid that's not going to happen. But wherever the bar is set, just set it at the same height for everybody.

that's all anyone with any sense should desire.....
that's what's saddening when I say with confidence, one can only 'wish' for numerous convictions at that level.....nothing would make me happier to see cankles and ANY other cronies in shackles....

Then this House investigation on Trump collusion. The D's wanted to subpoena Cohen's records to see where he was. Credit Cards or anything to tie him to Prague to confirm parts of the Dossier. They REFUSED???? Why? Instead of running an investigation they run interference. So that's why these calls for equal vigor in investigations runs incredible shallow with me. You guys are blind partisans.

Cohen dropped his lawsuit against Fusion GPS. I suspect that played a bigger role in this raid than the President. Now that the lawsuit is dropped the threat Cohen presented has been removed
