ESPN+ launched today, here it is - CardinalBlackTrojan - 04-12-2018 11:53 AM

I like that it's all rolled into the ESPN app. ESPN has moved all of their live channels to the ESPN app as well. So now, you can watch ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN+, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, SEC Network, and LHN all in one spot.

Here's what it looks like:

No support yet for Roku. (Seriously no support for Roku!?!?!?!?!)
No app for Playstation or XBox either.

According to a tech website: "At launch, ESPN+ is available on iOS, Apple TV, Android, Android TV, Chromecast, Amazon devices and the web, with Roku support coming later."

I would imagine the Roku app will launch before football season starts.

Unfortunately the MLS season is already underway and I can't use MLS Live to watch on TV so I'm stuck with watching on a tablet on the 20th when the next game I want to watch will be on.

Will ESPN+ be launching on Playstation, XBox, etc.?

Did see the following in their terms.

Blackouts. Certain live sporting events and other content available through the ESPN+ service subscription may be subject to blackouts. For example, if you are in the home television territory of a team participating in a game, then the game may be blacked-out for viewing or live viewing as part of your ESPN+ service subscription (or other applicable third-party service). Blackouts will be enforced according to the location from which you are accessing the ESPN+ service or the applicable third-party services, and we may use different technologies and methods to verify your geographic location. If you do not enable location access on your device, you will not be able to access the ESPN+ service.

Subscriptions to third-party products and services that you purchase or access through your ESPN+ service subscription will also be subject to specific blackout policies of the applicable sports leagues (e.g., Major League Baseball or the National Hockey League). Such policies may be made available or communicated to you in connection with your purchases of league-specific content. The blackout policies for services available via ESPN+ are available in the FAQs.

Blackout is no big whoop. If the Cardinals, Royals, Rangers or Astros are in the "game of the day" won't get it in Arkansas.

I was hoping home games I was not able to attend would be watchable on a pay to play network.

I very rarely have issues with blackouts.

If those games aren't being blacked out for you on ESPN3 no reason to believe they'd be blacked out on ESPN+

Has anyone signed up yet? I'm on the fence. I pay extra on Uverse to get all of the regional fox networks so I can see all the college sports, but I'm wondering if I can ditch that for ESPN+.

I most likely won’t sign up until football season starts.

Ditto. The only reason I would ever need this is Georgia Southern football.

Same here. I won't sign up until the Sun Belt sports I want to watch begin to get rolled in.

I'm not signing up till football season.

RE: ESPN+ launched today, here it is - Georgia_Power_Company - 04-13-2018 02:06 PM

I'll sign up in July but will probably keep it after that. Looking into scaling back my Dish Package this summer anyway so this extra $5 wont really add any additional cost to my entertainment budget.

Planning on it in the next little bit just to see how well it runs starting out and to get caught up on 30 for 30s
